Pets and greetings cards

Do you find it silly when people include their pets' names on letters or cards?

Pets are a part of the family, but sometimes people take it a bit too far.

I totally agree. So do Spot and Tiddles.

Yes, silly in a good way. What's taking it too far? It's just a greeting card.

Just a bit of harmless fun. I wouldn't do it a bereavement card of course. "Deepest Sympathies from John, Linda and Fluffy."

I only put my pet name on if they have pets as they seem to only do that too lol

My cats always sign cards to people they like. And give presents. They don't do it for people who don't appreciate them though.

I had a card from Tigger the neighbourhood cat. Said he'd left a little present in the garden. Showoff.

My close friends with cats and dogs get cards to both them and their pets. My cats 'sign' their cards. Silly? Maybe. Fun? Yes, and it's showing the place in our lives that our pets have.

If I had a dog, I would draw a little paw-print on the card and then write the pet's name underneath it!

No, not silly at all. I do it for those who understand.

BTW got a card from a friend who had drawn a little cartoon of her cat, Minnie the Minx. It was so cute!

I always sign a card with my pets names on it. Of course I tend to leave off the small pets when I had them. Otherwise it would be a long list of names. But I definately sign off with my dogs name and when I got mycat I added his as well.

I always do this, althought I tend only to do it to people who I know won't see it as being silly!
I always draw 2 little paw prints under my cats names too
My mum does the same so I think I've got it from her!
I'm currently pregnant so I've been signing Christmas cards from me , the cats & 'bump'!

A dog once sent me a Valentines card. It had a heart shaped dog biscuit glued to the front.

I always include the dog's name too. They are part of the family. I even send the OH a card specifically from the dog at Christmas. Bloody dog owes me a small fortune now.
