Is it just me then? I thought it sounded awful! Plink plonk sounding slightly out of tune. Peggy's theme was great but this was bad.

Disrespectful. She deserved Julia's theme leading into the normal theme. That really hurt.

I didn't like it, I could've played it better than that! Julia's theme would've worked better. I thought the fade to black was gonna be the flashbacks of Frank too

I liked that she got her own theme, but I didn't like how it just faded to black. Overall loved the episode. Sleep well Pat.

Emmerdale did a VERY similar theme back in the 90's after the plane crash!

I thought the music was okay but it didn't make me cry (though I was already crying over the last scene). I'm glad she didn't get Julia's theme. Getting her own theme shows how important she was and that sentiment counts.

I thought it was good and liked we got a black screen, it could of gone on a bit longer though.

Disrepectful?
BLACK credits? Not sure if anyone else has ever had that. She is more deserving of a stand-alone theme than anyone else. Even Dot or Ian. |

Well I thought it was a fitting tribute. Pat was always a 'dark' character, hence why I think they chose to slowly black out the scene. The music was simple but effective.

I thought it was a lovely way to end it... It was special, no one has ever had that. Even when Peggy left. Pat has been in EastEnders for a long time, and she deserved to have some thing different and unique.

I liked it.
Julia's Theme is nice but it's a heavier piece of music and I don't think going into the normal theme would've worked after such an emotional episode. |

I loved it, the fade to black was beautiful and very metaphorical imho. I liked the music as well. I wasn't expecting something upbeat, I found it haunting actually.

I quite liked it, but I especially liked the fade to black as we left the family to grieve in private and in silence. It was effective in that the final scene was kind of imprinted in your memory.
I have only ever cried at the death scene in The Champ before now. ![]()

I thought it sounded cheap and it seemed bolted on at the end.
It reminded me of when Helen Daniels died in Neighbours - but we got no photos of Pat, only darkness. I was expecting it to play out the final moments of the show, enhancing the emotion of Pat's final moments. Instead it was stuck on the end.

The Neighbours piano sad theme was good though.

I guess I'm in the minority then, I thought it was bloody awful! I thought it would be a variation of Julia's Theme, not something that sounded like a drunkard trying to play the normal theme...

I thought it was perfect. I really like how it was effectively the EE theme tune slowed down, fitting for an EE legend.

I thought it was nice - starting in the minor to mark the death but making its way back to major so that it was poignant rather than gloomy.
