Blackberry Bold 9780 or Blackbery curve 9300 ? Any ideas whats the best ? I like them both
I am not into downloading lots of stuff or music its just for general use and internet . I am leaning towards the curve 9300 but the bold seems to have slightly larger keys on the keypad

The question is do you want to spend £100+ just for a keyboard? I would go for the Curve 9300.

No doubt they'd get more money for selling a more expensive phone. If you just want to use it for text messaging and the internet the Curve would be fine.

The keyboard on the Bold is far superior to the Curve in feel and use. The Bold is snappy and very tactile whereas the Curve is spongy and dead in use.

Also, the Bold is BlackBerry 6 and the Curve is BB5 out of the box and doesn't really have enough memory to upgrade to BB6. We are now upto BB7. The Bold also has a decent camera with a flash which the Curve doesn't.

They do both have WiFi and 3G in common so connectivity isn't an issue.

I've had both and even though it was a few quid extra to get my nice white BB9780, it was well worth it

For the price of the Bold 9780, can't you get the Curve 9360? That is the new Curve, it runs BB7, has a better camera, is thinner, better screen, NFC.

The Curve 9300 is quite an old phone now, running an outdated BB operating system, has a pretty poor camera. On the plus side it has a very good battery life and is quite drop resistant.

The screen on the 9780 is much nicer than the curve though, as is the keyboard and the camera.

The Bold also has a better resolution screen, and a much better camera, with a flash. However, you may want to take look at the new Curve 9360: about the same quality as the Bold but slimmer and cheaper, has the higher spec camera and better screen res than the 9300. I sell phones for a living, and totally loathe Blackberries, but the 9360 even impressed me.

I checked out the reviews on the 9360 and it doesnt seem to score very high on the battery life

I'd buy the Bold. When I had the Curve 8520 I found the keyboard to be awful, the Torch wasn't much better either.

Good choice, hopefully you'll get on with it. My dad got a Curve 9360 in December to replace his Nokia 3110 which finally died (good riddance). He gets on with it really well, thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread. He still can't get over having a map on a phone, especially one that can tell you where you are!!
