Deserved win for you lot, we didn't turn up and although you didn't outclass us, you had more purpose and the better chances, the wingers in particular gave us a torrid time.
Hope you enjoy your trip in February and hopefully we'll be back next season to put today right

Cheers Joe. All the best for the season ahead, there's no doubt in my mind that your boys will be staying up. |

Well played Palace we were second best pretty much everywhere on the park.
Part of the problem was there was no way Pearson could win with his team selection. He had to go with the 11 who beat Man Utd the week before. Warnock saw that coming and set his team and tactics accordingly. |

I see that Jonny Williams has returned to Ipswich for a 3-month loan. I get the feeling we'll be selling him at some point.
Breaking news just now - Dougie Freedman has left Bolton by mutual consent. No real surprise is it? |

Williams scored on his return at Ipswich last week too. I think he might end up staying there permanently in January.
It's funny how things turn out with regards to Freedman. The grass isn't always greener.

it would be a great shame to see Williams go but I think there is an inevitability to it now.
today's team: Speroni, Kelly, Dann, Delaney, Ward, Jedinak, Ledley, McArthur, Bolasie, Puncheon, Campbell. Subs : Hennessey, Mariappa, Guedioura, Zaha, Gayle, Doyle, Chamakh. |

0-0 at the break.
uneventful is the first word that springs to mind. Dann going off injured is a big blow. |

Not the worst 45 I've seen. Puncheon looks off his game, I'd like to see Zaha given a run out in the second half.

We've been stuck in first gear pretty much since the start. Puncheon continues to have a mare. And now we send Gayle on for McArthur??

We've been bloody awful today. We don't deserve anything.

We got what we deserved today. Totally inept throughout.
And you could already see in that second half just how much we are going to miss Dann. |

Let's pretend this one didn't happen. Really poor.
When the wingers are kept as quiet as that we have no attacking threat at all. |

can't think of one positive from our perspective today. everyone was poor, no one stood out. our worst all round performance for a long time.
fingers crossed that the Dann injury isn't as bad as it's suspected to be. and only the small matter of Chelsea up next. |

what a difference a week makes... we looked so lazy and lethargic, no energy, no urgency... it was like we were playing in an end of season encounter with nothing to play for.... and this was the kind of game we really should be taking at least a point from...

Confirmation that Scott Dann's injury is a grade one tear on his right knee - he'll be back in 3 to 6 weeks.

0-1 at the break.
a nice, calm first half! ![]() both sides down to 10 men. delaney was a complete idiot. no need for him to do that. oscar's free kick was magnificent. nothing you can do when someone does that. |

Damian Delaney you absolute tool!!
Surely he would of thought that given the chance the ref would try and even things out. So disappointed in him. |

two great goals by them but a case of what could have been had Delaney not been so stupid. |
