Charlton on the brink of returning to the Championship next season. A possibility then of Palace, Millwall, Charlton, Brighton and West Ham being in the same division - should be fun!
And hopefully QPR will come down as well.

that would be quite mental!!

i was wondering when he would get back into the game, he's too big a talent to just be doing the odd bit of punditry. good luck Sir Steve, even if it is at Crawley!

The more startling statistic, and worrying for that matter, is it's now just 4 wins in our last 20 league matches! That's virtually half a season! Shocking form!

the season can't end soon enough for us... it was a great goal from us today but that was about it entertainment wise... the season has just fizzled out in to extreme dullness... and even now i still wonder about dougie's tactics, sometimes they just baffle me...

Away at Pompey tonight. A win for us would send them down - so unless other results go against them they should be alright 'til the weekend!

2-1 to Pompey now, but we've had to rely on a penalty to get us back in the game.

Did we honestly expect anything different from tonight? No. And that says it all.

Another predictable result as has been already stated the goal we scored had to come from the spot , take away the number of goals scored from penalties this season & our goal scoring tally would be even worse than it is .

According to The BBC we had two shots on target , says it all really .

it was actually a better performance from us... at least of late, but as usual we have nothing to offer in the final third of the pitch... we need drastic changes going forward otherwise next season we will definitely be in another relegation dogfight...

Dougie speaking on BBC London 94.9:

"I'm pleased with what I'm seeing. Looking forward, there are some young and exciting players.

"With the players we've got on the pitch, we've got a bright future."

"I've never worried too much about results - I've worried about performances," he added.

"I've felt that over the season our performances have merited a little bit better than where we are in the division.

"If we add one or two people in the summer and get stronger again as a club and as a team, I'll be happy with that.

"There are too many dreamers out there, and we've got to be realistic in terms of where we are and what we're trying to do.

"Right now, everything's going to plan."

That bit in bold - So, Dougie, it's ok if we lose all the time and go down just as long as we play well?!?!

A point away to a side that has been in phenomenal form is a very good point. Plus, we scored twice! A pity we couldn't dictate the second half despite it being against 10-men but credit to Reading for that.

Let's hope we can end the season next week on a high and give Cardiff their comeuppance for the League Cup semi.

^^^ this

I think Dougie has the right idea, although I could weep with frustration some afternoons.

Consolidate, and be thankful we still have a club with modest ambition.

Just a quick question, do you think that Zaha and Clyne will be with you at the start of next season?
