Pardew:
"We applied ourselves well. We ticked all the attitude boxes you want to tick. We needed to show a bit of exuberance and a bit of class and the players used that instruction really well. We never looked in trouble really and at any level that is very difficult to achieve. "We have really good honest players, their attitude, even before I arrived, was spot on, we just need to open our wings a bit and show we can play. "I know the heartbeat of the team, I know how it works. The chairman and I are looking to improve things on all levels but the honesty of the players will hopefully see us through. This is Crystal Palace's day and I am pleased for the club. The fans showed one of the reasons why I have come here because their support was phenomenal." |

100% professional job with no silliness or issues that usually around our club.
Thought Bsnnan was very good, less sold on O'Keefe myself but hate to criticise anyone after today. Would love Brighton next round

That was good fun. Thought Bannan really showed his quality, he must have given himself a good chance to get some more football in the league now.
Brighton at home next please! |

4th round draw coming up around 7.35pm tonight.
likelihood is it will be a Premier League team we get seeing how many are left in the draw. |

Don't mind a Premier League side, just don't fancy taking on Sheffield United!
Rochdale at home would be nice. Might be apt with Pardew now being in charge and how we played them on the way to the final in 1990. |

Tough either way. |

Quite dull after Dover. Would prefer Ipswich though, seeing as we're already playing Southampton this year.

Massive anticlimax.
We've lost 6 of the last 7 against Southampton including the last 5 in a row. And Ipswich are flying at the moment. |

Ipswich are currently unbeaten in 12 matches.
plus they have Jonathan Parr and Darren Ambrose playing for them. if it's them Ambrose is bound to stick a 30 yarder in the top corner! |

Farewell AJ. Gutted it didn't work out this time.
Would of given anything for just one last goal from him. |

it was good to see him back for a bit but it was an odd signing in the first place...
...anyway, i thought he was supposed to have a coaching role too? |

BBC showing Ipswich v Southampton live next week . Awful tie to get we have a terrible record against The Saints & Ipswich are flying at the moment .
Looking further ahead Liverpool's last home game this season is against Palace , just what we need a emotional Gerrard swan song . Hope we are safe by then . |

RE AJ and a coaching role, Sounds like another one of warncks lines where he promises the moon but the reality is often different.
Got to say I hope the talk of Ricky Lambert to palace has some legs. Could be just what we are looking for I think. |

Thought it was a good press conference. He looked very relaxed and dare I say cheerful!
Said some good positive things too, although the excuse about the new pitch is already in place.

I reckon we will get some in but we all know what Parish is like.
I do hope the rumours of a £9m + bid for Gomis are untrue. If we're going to be spending that kind of money I'd rather a £9m bid on someone like Demba Ba who Pardew knows very well. |

haven't seen Pards look so happy for a long time like a huge weight had been lifted from him!
glad to hear there is a contingency plan in place in case we do go down. |

Looking forward to today. It's a shame we hardly ever seem to beat Spurs - hopefully we can change that tonight.

historically spurs are a side we do not get the right result against... even when we outplay them we still cannot seem to beat them... take the last 2 visits to the lane as an example of that...
...a win today would be a massive boost but important not to lose. |
