It wasn't pretty, we had to dig deep and grind it out but a huge three points.
Thought Sanogo did really well when he came on, he was a total nuisance. Zaha had a really good game, too. |

Zaha was electric at times today.
I think we do miss Jedi alot, I'll feel a lot happier once he's sitting in front of our back 4 again. |

Just seen a replay of the Pearson/McArthur incident. What on earth was Pearson doing? He actually had McArthur pinned down with his hands around his throat!

Congratulations to you guys, since you appointed Pardew, your form has been immense!
You must be confident every time you play now! Just get through to the next round of the cup please! |

Cheers Batdude. Hopefully the form continues not just in the cup but also on Wednesday night when it's the small matter of playing Newcastle for the first time since Pardew came to us! That's going to be some atmosphere at Selhurst!

Very much needed win for us. Wasn't pretty in the slightest, but so needed.
Ledleys goal was brilliant for us, but far too many times we asked them back. That Pearson mcarthur altercation! On ssn he said "I held my own" sorry but even if mcathur had said something obscene to him certainly don't pin someone down and keep hold of their shirt! Anywho. 3 points in a very tough match 😀 |

Imagine Pardew had done the same thing - he would have the book thrown at him! |

the thing is even if there was nothing malicious when Pearson puts his hand round McArthur's throat and it becomes "jokey" afterwards he clearly prevents McArthur from getting back on to the pitch by continually pulling his shirt back. that's gamesmanship, ungentlemanly conduct or whatever else you want to call it.

Anyway, we won, we got the crucial three points and now we can look forward to the Newcastle game. |

tough game today... but we stood firm and should have finished them off towards the end...
...hangeland was immense when he came on for dann, sanogo did well, too... zaha had a decent match and speroni was on top form... as for pearson, mcarthur has done him a favour by not making a big deal over the incident... putting your hand around someone's throat and then purposely stopping them from returning to the pitch can not be considered jokey imo... |

Yeah, I saw that, too, and couldn't believe how they turned it in to a light-hearted matter! Not only did Pearson pin McArthur down by the throat he then deliberately stops him from returning to the field of play by keeping hold of his shirt, and not just for a few seconds!

Pearson looked like a right psycho and the interview after was weird saying he could 'handle himself'.

![]() good weekend for us overall after today's draw at Burnley. it meant that no one beneath us won so we gained an advantage on all of them. got to get something against Newcastle on Wednesday what with Arsenal, West Ham, and Southampton the following 3 games. |
