Just seen that Wilfried Zaha has been called up to the provisional Team GB Olympic squad.

Yeah, not sure it'll happen but would absolutely love it if he made the final squad. Give me some interest in the Olympic football.

Home both first and last day. All the derbies on weekends.

As long as they don't get too messed about by Sky or the police, then I'm very happy.

Yeah we have a sell on clause. Let's hope if he does move, it's a big offer!

I may be wrong but I think it's around 10%.

Apparently Chelsea's offer was £4m. They are having a laugh! Got to be at least £6m surely?

You'd think so. Especially when you see the prices some of these young players go for.

Not sure Chelsea would be that good a move for him tbh, but would like to see him play for a top club.

I can only see him warming the Chelsea bench most of the time if he moves there now.

Elsewhere, and Anthony Gardner has left and joined Sheffield Wednesday. A great pity as I thought he was terrific for us last season.

Link.

And Sean Scannell gone to Huddersfield!

Sad to see him go. Never hit the heights we hoped, but there will always be a question about what we would've seen if he was played as a striker regularly.

I'm not happy about this at all. I have always liked him and felt he never got a really decent run in the team.

I wish him all the very best there (except when he plays against us of course!)

Really? Very happy with Ward as Clyne's replacement.

And that young Martin lad has good reviews from Southampton.

If the rumours about us talking to McCormack are true (!), I think we're doing OK.

scannell going is a big blow imo... one i can see coming back to haunt us...

...ward is a good signing but i'm not sure about martin, obviously we will wait and see on that one...

the way is see it is we probably need another centre-back as we cannot keep relying on paddy... plus we must get a goal-scorer in... i see we are being linked to the experienced david connolly...

Like Neil Danns last season , also agree that a proven goal scorer is a must if we are to improve on last seasons poor goal scoring form .

Don't really no much about him tbh. Still, welcome Aaron!

EDIT: As a back-up replacing the likes of Andrew, it must be an improvement.

One would think so!

I will feel much more relaxed about the coming season when we get a decent striker in... or should that be if we get one in!

I strongly recommend that your club redesign its website, because the current design looks like it was put together by a six year old.

The irony there is that it's just been redesigned and was launched as "the new look site" just recently! But, yes, I agree, it's awful and always has been which is why any self-respecting Palace fan always uses one of the two major fan sites we have instead and usually steers clear of the official one.

Funnily enough, it was hearing about this redesign that got me to look at the site for the first time in months.

Maybe that was their secret plan...
