My heart's still racing!

Tactically brilliant today. Game plan was spot on and every one did their job from the first whistle to the last.

The back four were terrific but Delaney was majestic today. Midfield worked their socks off, Sako was just brilliant. To think he was a free!!

And Wickham didn't stop running, worked tirelessly up front.

An outstanding team performance and a fully deserved victory, any one who says otherwise is quite frankly nuts!

only the 2nd home defeat for Mourinho as Chelsea boss. that's how hard it is to win there.

first big title clash of the season in 2 weeks after the international break when we play Man City.

Just can't believe it. They worked so hard for that.

This is gonna take a while to calm down. What a result!

Great result, my mate Steve who is a massive fan, texted me to say he is going to get steaming drunk tonight.

Great result, well done.

thanks Joey.

Mourinho blaming the ref for not giving a penalty at 0-0 but to be fair to him he then had some nice words about us.

What a result. I'm so proud of this team. Approaching legendary status. Never though I'd see a team to rival the early 90s side in my lifetime but they are so good in every area now.

Only the other day I said to a mate of mine that the 90's side was still the better, mainly because they finished third, but the team and squad we have now is without doubt the best we've had since then. The midfield especially just oozes class.

I wonder if Hodgson has taken notice of how well Dann & Puncheon have started this season. could do a lot worse (and often does!)

Congratulations!
Cheers Mark. Good effort from your boys today. We've got City next.

I said it last season, if Dann was playing for one of the "big boys" he'd already be a regular. I may be biased but he should be in the squad.

Pardew seems a great fit for you guys, seems bizarre that Newcastle fans seemed desperate to get him out, have had Carver & now Mclaren since but have not improved in the slightest and that's being kind to them. Great win today, well done

Great win for you guys today, hard faught. You did seem to want it more than Chelsea. I've found this season with Arsenal & Chelsea & Man Utd, they just expect to turn up and win. Trouble is it aint working this season. Teams are not afraid to go at them.

Find it ridiculous that Jason Puncheon or Scott Dann can't get near the England squad yet Jamie Vardy can. No idea what Hodgson is playing at.

Much appreciated.

I think Puncheon getting in might be more difficult due to his position but his performances since Pardew took over deserves a squad place.

As for Dann, his position in the England team is crying out for new competition and there has not been a more consistent high performer in that role than him. No one deserves a call up more than him.

Watching MotD last night once again I noticed half our chances were edited out and yet all Chelsea's were kept in. Funny that? Really does my head in.

i rarely watch it these days... mainly because the editing is so bad... even when the top clubs are beaten they still try their best to make them look good... i much prefer sky's match choice & highlights programme...

as for dann and puncheon and getting call up's... i would be astonished to see it happen, but with hodgson's ties to palace you never know...

United lose. That sets up a top-two clash with City for us in a fortnight!

Well, as expected no call-up's for Dann or Puncheon in the England squad. The likes of Kieren Gibbs, Fabian Delph & Ryan Mason who've barely played are included, though. Plus Jonjo Shelvey!

At least with them not being picked there isn't the risk of them getting injured whilst on international duty.

Not that I wanted Man U nor Swansea to lose really ...... but their result kept us second!

Fingers crossed he stays:

Alan Pardew has warned it would take an "unbelievable offer" to land winger Yannick Bolasie.

Still cannot believe it that we are second, and beat Chelsea. Are we becoming their bogey team after the result Saturday and the Terry og 18 months at Selhurst?

Also very interestingly (hasn't been mentioned but might have been in one of the links so apologies if it has been said) Pardew is the first manager to beat Mourinho three times ever. Which out of all the managers in the prem, la liga, seria is damn impressive.

It's a shame that Punch and Dann aren't getting called up even for a friendly, but that also means that the "big expensive clubs" may try to tap them up so, I'm happy for them to stay. Happy for Shelvy though. Hope Yannick doesn't leave, but who knows.

The first outgoing transfer completed as we approach the transfer deadline tomorrow. Barry Bannan has joined Sheffield Wednesday. Best of luck to him, an excellent signing for the Owls.
