I will never tire of seeing that Ambrose goal, simply stunning.

Looking forward to tonight. My Dad is a Charlton fan so it adds some extra family spice to the occasion.

Ok. Interesting that Hennessey is in goal with Jules on subs bench. Nice to see Ledley in the team.

Sattrega, enjoy the family derby.

0-0 at half time.

all of the ball and have done virtually nothing with it. Delaney going off injured too, hopefully just a precaution.

Campbell scores. 1-0 at last.

2-0. Gayle from the penalty spot.

Edit: 2-1 now. A blunder from Hennessey. what is up with our keepers?

3-1. another Gayle penalty. Diarra sent off for professional foul. red card was harsh.

Edit: 4-1. Gayle hattrick.

Massive well done to the lads and Gayle looked on fire. What was Hennessey doing for their goal.

Fantastic result, so Man City away, we had a good cup run

Now that second half was fun.

Hope people didn't get caught up with the chavvy Charlton fans looking for trouble.

First half was a little disappointing, decent overall performance in the second. Not the best of games but enjoyable enough and always good to get one over on them.

City next then. Well, if West Ham can go there and win in the League then we can go there and win in the Cup.

... hopefully back to winning ways in the league tomorrow, gonna be tough, they haven't conceded at home yet...

We usually do well at Watford, it's one of my favourite away games. Definitely gonna be pretty tough this time though.

How nice would it be to keep an actual clean sheet?!

I think it's something ridiculous like 2 clean sheets in our last 28 matches! (all comps)

Today's bench showing just how much we're suffering from injuries of late.

Good to see Dann back. McArthur on the bench after a knock during the week.

0-0 half time.

no real improvement from the Spurs game last weekend.
Sattrega
27-09-2015
Puncheon looks half alseep again; Sako has been generally poor; Kelly looks 2 yards slower than anyone else; Gayle looks lost; and Cabaye's delivery from dead balls has been terrible.

But aside from that all is rosy!

1-0. Cabaye penalty. Zaha earning the spot kick.
Sattrega
27-09-2015
Well, that came from nothing. I held my breath when I saw Gayle wasn't taking it but lovely penalty from Cabaye.

full-time. 1-0 Palace.

wasn't pretty. was quite turgid at times but a win is a win.

That's what you call grinding out a result. As we saw against City we can play so much better than that and lose so winning ugly will do me fine.

Hangeland was a rock, deserved the MoM. Ledley was immense, too.
