Can't help thinking we will struggle to hold on to Bolasie now. I can think of several big teams that would love a player so fearless and willing to have the ball. If he scored a few more he would be utterly priceless.

... today was a good all round performance... no slackers, everyone did their bit... been mentioned but both keepers were on top form, that henno save in the 1st half was breathtaking... and good to see our home form really picking up now. |

Good game. Enjoyed it.
The two keepers were on top form, they're the reason it was only 1-0. Some very good outfield performances, too. Wickham, McArthur, Cabaye & Bolasie all caught the eye but no one had a bad game today. Back up to 6th. I keep looking at the table and doing a double take! On a side note, did anyone yesterday get free entry band to the strip club in Croydon? They were handing them out. |

I'm surprised they were hard to miss. Unless I missed the memo to dress in leather leggings and thigh high boots
But clever marketing though, bit sexiest as I didn't get one could have been that way inclined hehe.

Yeah I got given one, I presume the stewards giving them out also work the door at the club... Tbh it made a nice change, a lot of stewards still seem to think I'm a kid at games despite being in my late twenties. ![]() Quote:

To be honest, after reading the last couple of posts I'd rather have a glimpse of Plucky in those leather leggings and thigh high boots than have one of those free entry bands!

Watching Saturday's game back today, we really were bloody good. That save from Bolasie's volley was an incredible reaction. Quote:
And you don't try to get concession tickets for away games? Not that I managed to do that until I was 23ish. Student card played well.
Only if you do it too Can't be the only one. |

So just seen this. With it being a bigger amount of money should be a good thing, but the controlling stake quote, does concern me slightly. Obviously have to wait and see what the full plans are. |

Cautiously optimistic.
The investment is needed to take this club to the next level so that is welcome but the main thing is Parish being the man that continues to run the club on a day-to-day basis. If the figures being quoted are true then Parish has done one hell of a deal. This with the extra income from next season's TV deal really could take us places we've only dreamed about before. |

don't think it's gonna be a controlling stake in the club, some of these media reports seem to be off the mark.... the 4 members of cpfc 2010 will still have the majority stake with parish having the most at 18%....
... big step for us, especially for the stadium... i hope when thisis all confirmed they release the plans for the stadium and how they are gonna do it... |

http://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/article/i...d-2858768.aspx And it's official. The current owners staying on is definitely reassuring. And this is the exciting bit: Quote:
All shareholders have agreed an initial £50m injection of capital for the development of the stadium, with more to follow.

is this the first step to an eventual takeover???
today's team - and no Cabaye! he failed a late fitness test. Hennessey; Ward, Dann, Delaney (c), Souare; McArthur, Ledley; Zaha, Puncheon, Bolasie; Wickham. Subs: Speroni, Hangeland, Kelly, Lee, Mutch, Chamakh, Bamford. |

No Cabaye is a big blow. Good to see Ledley back, though.

HT Stoke 0-1 Palace
Wickham gets his 1st goal for us with a penalty right before the break & against the run of play. we rode our luck a few times in that half. |

First 10 minutes we were terrific, then we just allowed Stoke to take control.
I could barely watch as Wickham stepped up, that goal will do him the world of good. |

Not liking this. We're giving the ball away too much and giving away cheap free-kicks.
