FT 1-3.

the goal from Alli was world class. that will be a contender for goal of the season. we were 2nd best for the majority of that. Spurs are a very good side.

we had to rely on an own goal, take that away and it's 6 league games without a goal from one of our own players. and because that is not being rectified we continue to drop down the league.

We were lucky to be ahead at the break but unlucky not to go 2-1 up when Dann & Jedi hit the bar in quick succession.

Let's not pretend all is ok, though. Puncheon still keeps giving the ball away cheaply, Zaha continues to blow hot & cold and for all his good work outside of the area Wickham has zero impact inside the 18 yard box.

The own goal should not paper over the obvious cracks we have in attack. I honestly cannot believe we are a week from the transfer window closing and we are no closer to bringing any one in. We were 5th after Boxing Day and we should have had a clear and precise plan for as soon as the window opened and strengthened quickly. Procrastinating has cost us.

As for Dele Alli's goal. Stunning. Beautifully crafted and a fabulous finish.

Parish & co really need to back Pardew this week. it's gone well beyond a joke now.

Can't get much closer to scoring than we did today - hitting the bar twice like that was ridiculous. And I was sure Wilf's shot was heading in. That was a quality save.

We were doing pretty well I though right up until Ali's goal.

We definitely need something new, as good as Zaha was in the first half, we can't keep relying on him to get past three defenders all the time.

we can't buy a goal at the moment & it seems right now that parish is unwilling to spend the dosh to get someone in that can score them....

... we were ok today but spurs are a much better side and i can't argue that over the 90 they deserved the win... alli's goal was top drawer... real quality.

if we don't bring anyone in this week then we will do well to repeat last season's top 10 finish... the way i'm feeling right now i just want to get to 39/40 pts as quickly as possible...

Love how someone is suggesting that we go in for Fernando Torres over at BBS!

I do sometimes wonder about the sanity of some of them over there!

Wickham has been charged by the FA for the apparent elbow against Spurs. That could put us in the shit again for 3 games.

There's been no mention of the definite penalty the referee missed that led to it.

I did think the game could have gone both ways at times but that alli goal was sublime.

How many times did we hit the post

Bad news about Wickham but after motd spent 10 mins on it hardly surprising it's been focused on.

Only good thing on Saturday was he felt guilty for beating us so bought us a take away

Haha torres! Yeah...we'll leave it at that.

Wonderful, just what we need, Wickham to be bopped for 3 or more games.

Bloody hope we get a couple of players in. No excuses now.

Hope it was an expensive one!

Let's hope that Spurs continues to pay some of his £100,000 a week salary.

He may not be the most exciting signing that could have been made but surely he will be an improvement on the current strikers (who seem to be on strike as far as actually scoring goals is concerned)?

An actual striker! And one with a good goal scoring record too.

As long as he's fit enough and doesn't upset people it's a chance worth taking imo.

Happy that it's only until the end of the season. Let's see how serious he is about breaking Drogba's record of the most Premier League goals by an African striker.

I would be extra happy if we got another in by the deadline.

We all know my view on Ade, but second he puts on that palace shirt I'll cheer. Just heard something that he's not 100% match fit which is a concern, however also heard he's been playing in Africa so, fingers crossed.

But we've signed someone not last minute so that's good. Also the picture of Ade, Pards and parish. Very nice conservatory.

No official confirmation yet but Pardew seemed to suggest in his press conference today that Wickham has got a 3-match ban for that elbow.

Adebayor. Do not, under any circumstances, let him anywhere near a pen - that's not a penalty people, that's an actual pen. Even if he turns into Lionel chuffin' Messi for 3 months, do not let him near a contract with a pen in his hand - hell immediately turn into Danny Graham.

And the last thing hell needs is Danny Graham

I bet Pards was fuming with him what with all the current problems we have up front.

Gayle to play a part tomorrow?

Adebayor almost certain to come on at some point.

Swansea has offered £7m for Gayle "to solve their goal-scoring problems" - you couldn't make it up!
