^ should have put money on it!
![]() that was so much better today. Rode our luck in the 1st half for a bit but I can't recall Hennessey having much to do in the 2nd. great to see Yala back. you could see what we've missed with the Wickham offside goal. first QF for 21 years! |

Gritty performance. Had to soak up a lot of pressure which was expected and we defended well. One or two hiccups and they were unfortunate not to have scored in the first half but you earn your luck sometimes and I thought we did just that.
Thought Wickham ran himself in to the ground. OK, he doesn't score goals but no one can knock his work rate. So good to see Bolasie back. He will make a big difference to us. We're certainly having to do this the hard way, Southampton, Stoke and now Spurs. |

I do hope it's Marriappa and not Kelly as a replacement, but this will be a good use of plan b.
It'll be a difficult one for me, but luckily we're both hoping to knock the other out and we have a spare room if it goes to pot haha. ![]() So, who gets the spare room? ![]() Quote:

worth noting that the away League game against Man Utd on the 12th March will now have to be rescheduled as that is QF weekend.

Reading away in the Quarter-Final!
Not taking anything for granted but we have to be pleased with that. |

we can't be complacent but that is a great draw at this stage. And I much prefer us being away what with our dismal home form.

Would be bloody typical of us to beat three Premier sides only to lose to a Championship side with a semi at Wembley the prize.

What a day and what a strike from Kelly. Bolasie came back like he's never been away too.
And loved Puncheon in with the fans. We've got a huge opportunity now.

Let's see...
Team morale at a season low. Confidence at a season low. Belief at a season low. A defence that's forgotten how to defend and concedes left, right & centre. A midfield that passes more to the opposition than its own team mates. An attack that is still impotent 90% of the time. And we're up against one of the best teams in the land right now. This has got 1-0 Palace written all over it! ![]() I thought the game was good and to draw Reading I think is fantastic. Bolasie did so improve the game and did show us what we'd been missing. Great singing today! I don't think saw much quality from either team but my view was blocked by a massive bobble hat, our defence looked good at times which was nice to see. Thought Mullery coming on at half time and showing the goals they had previously scored against us was very poor taste. Although when Ade missed that sitter and spurs booed him loved the chant of "we're not paying him" |

top win... we looked better in all departments today... we were tough & uncompromising, hassled & hurried them... yeah, we got lucky but when you see something like alli's shot in the 1st half hit one post and roll across the line & hit the other you start to think its your day...
you could see that bolasie adds that extra dimension, the opposition are so weary of him & what he can do.... ... good draw too... i'm getting a bit excited about this cup run now... |

They better not arse around with the date & KO time announcement of the Quarter-Final like they did last round as I need to rearrange some things I had planned for that weekend. The Palace match obviously takes priority now much to the annoyance of the missus.

still no date or time for the reading cup tie... doing my head in. don't they realise that some of us might have to book time off work or rearrange prior engagements?

I'm really sorry I didn't see these! Quote:
Bet you're glad it was Kelly now!
![]() So, who gets the spare room? ![]() Massive surprise though. No one, I just bought pizza and wine, and pretended nothing happened, until match of the day! Quote:
I thought it was a lot of fun giving him stick though. And to think half-times are normally so dull.

I met Jason Puncheons mum yesterday when I repaired her car. Absolutely lovely lady, couldn't of been nicer in fact.
She's even taken my calendar and is getting Jason to sign it this weekend. The lad obviously comes from a fantastic family. |

No I didn't, to be honest I didn't want to sound too much like a fan boy, not a good look for a 42 year old father of three 😉

If your 42, lie and say "it's for the kids" they make for fantastic excuses. |
