this will feel like another defeat. and with Liverpool, Leicester, West Ham & Arsenal coming up in our next 5 games we are still deep in the mire despite the point.

9 clear of the drop zone (even if Newcastle win tomorrow) with 10 to play. We probably still need 5 points.

struggling to see where a win will come from. We may have to rely on getting draws to save our hides.

Well I got my signed calendar back, Mrs Puncheon you are a star.
Asked when Jason will be back, she said he might make the bench for the Liverpool game but will certainly be back for the a reading cup game. |

Nice one.
![]() I think we're going to need all hands on deck for the run-in so getting Puncheon back in soon will help. He may not have had the best of seasons but he's a better option than Mutch. |

top job oblivion!
gutted about last night.... thought we had done enough to win it... 1st half wasn't great again, what is it with us & poor 1st halfs? wickham was class in the 2nd half, 2 brilliant goals. just wish we'd stop conceding... the lack of clean sheets is killing us... |

Wish I'd put money on Wikham being worth a couple of goals.
. I actually thought we were OK up until their ridiculously flukey first. And Bolasie, Zaha and Wickham showed they could work well in the second half. But I thought we started to go defensive far too early and paid for it. |

Pardew's press conference today - a few things of note:
Connor has got a knock, which he picked up in the game, and we'll have to have it scanned today. Touch-and-go for Sunday. Wayne Hennessey is also struggling. That's something we'll have to look at in the 11th hour, as well. Pape Souare's back on that left side, which is important. He will start. Losing Wickham for the game will be a blow especially as he's started banging them in. |

our bad luck just doesn't end. no Wickham or Hennessey today, both out injured.
team: McCarthy; Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souare; Zaha, Jedinak (c), Cabaye, Ledley, Bolasie; Adebayor. SUBS: Speroni, Kelly, Lee, Mutch, Sako, Chamakh, Gayle. |

FT 1-2.
what a joke. blatant dive by Benteke. sick of this crap now. 12 matches without a win. absolute shite once we took the lead. serious questions have to be asked now about all of this. it's disgraceful. |

There's no one in this league I dislike more than Liverpool and Jurgen ****ing Klopp. Losing to them like that hurts.
We should have done better when Milner went off, 'cause you just knew a mistake like that was coming with McCarthy. Also thought we subbed Cabaye off far too early again. And then Benteke throwing himself over like that is just typical. We're really fortunate there's four poor teams at the bottom below us. |

The dreadful run continues twelve league games without a win & Leicester next , that makes nine home defeats , worst in the division . Also baffled by the inclusion of McCarthy over Speroni.
Used to be able to keep a lead but now two late goals in consecutive games have cost us three valuable points . |

McCarthy is an utter shower of shite. I'd take Julian with one leg and both arms tied behind his back over McCarthy any day. |

Forget the penalty, we were garbage from the moment they went down to 10-men. I cannot remember a more inept display by a Palace side with a one man advantage. It was shambolic. That's what I'm more angry about.
It's becoming more and more obvious by the week that some of these players are just not good enough for this level. If we stay up, and for me it is still an if, there absolutely has to be a major rebuilding in the summer. If there isn't then our immediate future will be hugely worrying. We've kind of joked in this thread in recent weeks about where our next league win will come from but I genuinely can't see where. I really do think draws are our best hope to get to a tally where we can't be caught but with all the late goals we concede even that might be too hopeful. We're basically relying on Sunderland, Newcastle & Norwich continuing to drop points each week. |

Well McCarthy is a tw*t for coming out like that to gift it to them. The pen. I genuinely cannot see how contact AFTER he starts falling is a pen especially as the contact was Delaney trying to not touch him. Ref had it right first time. Was really hoping when I saw Gayle going forward at 81 mins that it'll be a repeat of 3 years ago wasn't. Did think we played well but lost momentum after the sub and their goal. Ledley's goal was a good boost for him and a good goal. I think when he came off our shape changed and it alter things. 3 points for a total of 33. Really isn't good. I could cope if we played attractive football and worked hard, second it was 1.1 all confidence and hope faded and we need to build that confidence back up. |

if i use the language i want to use to describe that cheat benteke then i would get banned so i won't waste my time on him...
... getting really fed up though with these late goals and not being able to hold on to valuable points... when they lost milner we should have stamped our authority on the game, instead we went completely in to our shells and looked clueless.... then at 1-1 we should have killed the game and taken the point, but again we looked clueless on how to do that... time and time again we are throwing away matches because we look devoid of any ideas on how to handle certain situations.... 4 points from a possible 36... you can't blame all of that on bad luck. |

You guys will be safe. You will win one and draw one of your remaining games and Newcastle aren't going to get 13 points.

12 matches without a win.
Longest run without a league win is 20 set in 1962. Our longest run without a win in the Premier League is 15 set back in 1998 (I think that one is under serious threat, now.) |

I don't know if Palace use a sports psychologist? Perhaps they need a hypnotist as well so that the players can be put back into the winning mind-set with which they started the season?

I think we need divine intervention right now to be honest.
And better coaches. |

^ When you break it down like that the home record is bloody awful.
In the press conference today Pardew intimated that Speroni might start tomorrow night. He also said Puncheon could be on the bench. Meanwhile, Chamakh is injured again. This time a torn abductor muscle. He really needs to be offloaded in the summer. |
