Gayle was fantastic today, he looks a different player when he has a big man to play off up front. Possible headache now for Pardew for the Final?
First half was lacklustre after a bright opening 10/15 minutes but second half was more like it. We played at a decent tempo and pressed them much better, and looked more of a goal threat because of it. Finally we get past the 40-point barrier, it's been a long long time coming when you consider we had 31 points on New Years Day. Next week at Southampton - play the second string or go full strength to keep some momentum going before heading to Wembley? |

I'd probably pick a team something like this: Hennessey; Ward, Kelly, Mariappa, Souare, Williams, Boateng, Sako, Kaikai, Adebayor, Gayle. |

The second half was fun. We looked a completely different team when Bolasie shot into life.
I'd definitely rest a few players against Southampton, seeing Cabaye and Ledley both go off scared me a bit. If that's someone like Bolasie or Dann next week, we're screwed. |

Good to finally win another home game , not had many this season.. Strange old season, good in the first half , dreadful second half except for the cup .
Big changes needed next season if were not do be in another relegation scrap , quite a few players need be shipped out ,we definitely need more quality . Judging by some of Pardews signings this season I'm a bit worried . But that can wait just glad it's over & we can look forward to the final now safe in The Pl for another year . |

game of 2 halves that one... looked impotent again in the 1st and the total opposite in the 2nd... so pleased for gayle bagging a couple...he looked so much more comfortable with wickham up there with him...
...job done for this season league wise... we can have a deeper analysis about it after the cup finals out the way... as for next week, yeah, i'd rest anyone that can be rested... no point risking them, plus it would be good to see the likes of williams, boateng & kaikai given a run out... |

My Cup final ticket arrived today. It's starting to become real.

![]() And quite frankly I couldn't give a stuff what happens at Southampton on Sunday just as long as we suffer no injuries or red cards (assuming any of the Cup Final XI end up playing) |

Joe Ledley has suffered a leg fracture and will miss the FA Cup final and is now a big doubt for the Euros with Wales.
gutted for him and have everything crossed that he can make it to France. meanwhile we've sold out our tickets for the Cup final. |

Gutted for Ledley, too. It was such an innocuous challenge. Fingers crossed it's a quick recovery and he gets a squad place for the Euros.
Tonight is the Player of the Year awards ceremony in Leicester Square. I believe the new kits for next season will be revealed, too. |

next seasons kits have been unveiled.
LINK the Home kit is a shocker. who thought it would be a good idea to get rid of the stripes? that half & half kit a couple of years back was bad enough but this is awful. like the Away kit though. |

The home kit is a wind-up surely? It looks like something you'd wear in training! And I can't believe we've gone down the no-stripes route again. It's an abomination!
Love the away kit. Not usually a fan of yellow kits, I much prefer the white, but this one is very nice. Can't we play all our games in that instead?! |

Goal of the season goes to Jason Puncheon against Norwich.
Scott Dann wins the Players Player of the Year. Luke Dreher is U-18 Player of the Year. HIram Boateng is U-21 Player of the Year. |

Way, way too much blue on the home kit. I really dislike it.
I thought Chungy would have won Goal of the Season. |

they're really padding this out now.
on the kits Steve Parish said "There are only so many things you can do with stripes!" |

Here we go, the main award.
And the Player of the Year is... Wilfried Zaha! Zaha also wins the Vice-Presdients Player of the Year. Sullay Kaikai wins the V-P Young Player of the Year. |

Well done, Wilf! Now go score the winner at Wembley!
Glad to see Kaikai get recognised, too. Really hope we see a lot more of him in the first XI next season. |

Really not sure how I feel about the home kit, I like the yellow sash though.
Delighted for Wilf. Hopefully his confidence will be through the roof for the final. |

home kit - so we're now alan pardews blue & a smidgen of red army? ... all it needed was a red stripe down the middle & it would have been fine... still too much blue but fine.
...but as it is i agree with those who think it looks like a training top, it just doesn't feel palace. ...didn't think the red & blue sash would work on yellow but it does & the away kit is cool. good on wilf for collecting player of the year... looked like a good night judging by all the photos... thought susanna reid looked hot!

todays team - a bunch rested as expected but not every one.
Speroni; Ward, Mariappa, Delaney, Souare; Mutch, McArthur, Jedinak (c), Puncheon; Gayle, Adebayor. Subs: McCarthy, Dann, Kelly, Lee, Gray, Kaikai, Campbell. |

Disappointed that Kaikai doesn't get to start.
And surprised that Delaney, Puncheon and McArthur are being risked. |

another comical goal conceded to add to the list for this season. Poor half overall. |

How many errors have our three keepers made this season now which has led to the opponents scoring?! I've never known a season like it.
Struggled to stay awake that half to be honest. |
