Another terrible goal to concede although it looked like a shove on Mariappa.
Great hit by Puncheon, though. 2-1. |

really good strike from Punch. Kaikai already putting in some decent crosses.

So we have Mariappa shoved for the second goal and now a penalty awarded for a challenge outside the box. Great officiating as usual in this League.

Poor officiating cost us 2 goals but today once again proved that some of the fringe players need to be shipped out in the summer as they are clearly not good enough for this level.

It was slightly harsh in the end I thought, we did have chances to score and we should've done better with a few.
But it's hard to care too much. No red cards, hopefully no new real injuries and we can start looking forward to next week. |

Dropped a place today with WBA getting a point , could finish 16th if Bournemouth get anything at OT . Stats are pretty even except for the one that matters Possession South :: CP 49 51 Shots 18 16 On Target 5 4 Corners 2 5 Fouls 7 14 |

apart from no one getting sent off or injured yesterday the only good thing about it was a day trip to the south coast...
wickham has declared himself fit for the final... hopefully no one picks up any knocks in training this week, something which has happened far too often this season... |

The Wickham/Wilf/Yannick song is perfect. And Jedinak taking off Cantona's head.
![]() I'm getting more excited and nervous by the day now. |

the Palace minute is hilarious. haven't laughed that much for ages!
![]() so how is everyone feeling about Saturday? is the belief there that we can do it? I know we're underdogs but I keep telling myself if Wigan can beat Man City then we can beat United. |

It's weird, I know this Man Utd isn't what it was and we can definitely score against them. But I still can't imagine us winning.
Maybe it's that the idea of us actually winning an FA Cup just doesn't feel real or something. We could've/should've beaten them earlier this season. Please let us take our chance this time. |

yeah, definitely getting nervous now... i believe we can do it... sure alot of things will have to go our way & our big players really have to turn up & maybe a few of there's need to have off days but it's doable, they're not the daunting side of bygone years... just hope that the players believe they can do it & pray that pardew actually gets the tactics right!

There's a vote on HOL for The Palace Cup Final song , five songs . Winning at the moment is Glad All Over Again by Doc Brown & Verb T . I must be a boring old fart but rap does nothing for me , another one is an awful techno "tune"
I chose Young Stanley - The Holmesdale http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkZjX7_d3TU Nothing can beat The Dave Clark Five though |

As for Saturday, the nerves are starting to set in. We're massive underdogs IMO, they might not have had the best of seasons and their fans are not happy with their style of play but this is still Manchester United we're talking about and winning trophies is part of their DNA whereas just reaching the final is a huge achievement for us. Can we win it? Of course we can, but all of our players have to be bang on it from the start. No silly mistakes from our keeper & defence, no giving away stupid free-kicks or diving in when it's not needed. Going forward we've got to make our crosses and set-pieces count and we've absolutely got to take our chances when we get them. Most importantly they have to believe they can win it. I'm glad Sir Steve was there today giving everyone a pep talk, if anyone can get them believing they can do this it would have been him. |

I think back in 1990 I was more excited than nervous. This time it's the other way round. Quote:

I think McArthur will start alongside Cabaye but I can see the case for it to be Jedinak and wouldn't have any issue if it were him.
can't believe it's actually upon us now! |
