Big win. Although just once I'd love to win a game without all that stress.
more chance of Frazier Campbell finishing top scorer in the League than that.

First time managed to watch a game rather than highlights.

Loving Mandanda, he knows what he's doing, composed and in control of his box - yay.

Was pleasantly surprised by mini Benteke. Wilf and Townsend definitely are a good match.

Overall bloody relieved we won a game and I don't think we missed Cabaye. Lee looked up for it which I'm happy for as I really like him.

Looks like I'm going to start eating my words, after saying not that excited about Benteke, glad to be wrong on that one.

Ledley and McArthur look a better partnership IMO.

Oh yeah. They seem to understand and foresee the others actions. Much better partnership.

Wishing Pape Souare a speedy recovery after a nasty crash on the M4 . Thankfully it's not life threatening . A statement from the club the player has sustained injuries his thigh & jaw bone & will remain in hospital while he receives treatment.

Stupid spat on twitter yesterday between Parish & Shearer over Shearers comments on Zaha on MOTD . Don't think Shearer said anything that wasn't spot on Zaha has to show more consistency , not one good game in 6 or 7 .

Crazy about Souare. Really hope his injuries aren't too bad.

Just heard about Pape. Seeing the state of his car he's bloody lucky it's nothing more serious. Fingers crossed he recovers well and quickly.

I'm glad Parish is willing to defend our players but he's deluding himself if he thinks anything Shearer sad was way off the mark. Everyone and his dog knows that Zaha is far too inconsistent and his scoring record pretty poor overall.

shocker about pape... suspected broken leg according to pardew, sounded like he could be out for a fair while but thankfully it wasn't much worse...

...saturday was a good win, thought we looked in control for long periods and was actually a little disappointed that we only scored twice... benteke's header was class, how we've missed that kind of quality up front.

I'm so sad to hear about Pape Souare, so glad to hear not life threatening.

I know this may sound wrong but if it's only a broken leg I hope him a speedy recovery, it could have been a broken neck from the pictures and hope he plays again if not, that he finds peace and a job for the game he loves.

Latest on Souare from Steve Parish:

"Pape Souare has this morning undergone surgery on both his jaw and thigh.

"Thanks to the fantastic response of the emergency services who cut him from the car and the amazing surgeons, doctors and staff at the Royal London Hospital he is expected to make a full recovery and should be discharged on Friday."

Pardew confirmed at the press conference today that Souare has broken his thigh bone and is expected to be out 4 to 6 months. hopefully he makes a full recovery.

He also said that Wickham and Sako should be fit for Sunday but Cabaye is touch & go.

HT 2-0.

Tomkins and Dann with the goals. Been a good half from us.

FT 4-1

McArthur and Townsend with the 2nd half goals. the one from Townsend was a beauty.

couldn't keep the clean sheet though, the only negative today as we were well on top throughout the match.

We were impressive today and right from the first whistle. We passed the ball well, the movement was good and our all round attacking play excellent.

This was the best game in a long while where our crossing was concerned. Whether from open play or from set pieces the it was all very good.

Townsend was brilliant. Definitely MoM and he capped his fine performance with a terrific solo goal.

Said it last week (I think) but McArthur and Ledley together in midfield looks so much better than McArthur and Cabaye.

Only real downer was to concede right at the end, that clean sheet remains elusive.

Well we asked for a comfortable win last week.

That was really refreshing. McArthur was everywhere again and Townsend was dangerous all match - no one really had a bad game.

Hopefully Tomkins injury isn't bad, he looked good.

Wasn't expecting that result . Can't remember the last time we scored two goals in the first half of a home game . Pity about conceding right at the end & Tomkins leaving on crutches to spoil things.

We need to keep our fingers crossed that it's something minor with Tomkins as the last thing we need with Souare out long term is another defender injured. It's not as if we're flushed with them.

And Dann off injured. The last thing we need is him being out now.

I was slightly bewildered that he even started. I was so certain he would go with Kelly and Delaney as the CB pairing last night.

Still can't believe we've gone in to the start of this season with just 7 defenders. We may end up playing Wickham as CB at this rate.
