Puncheon out. That means we're relying on Cabaye's corners...
![]() He did look bright when he came on last week tbf. |

HT 1-0 Leicester.
totally dominated the opening 20 minutes and didn't take advantage of it alhtough Benteke's header hitting the bar was unlucky. but since then we've been dross. Kelly having a terrible game at the back, he's all over the place. |

2-0 down now. We've been deadful in the 2nd half. our defence is a total mess. We need better full backs for starters.

Meh we had spells where we looked dangerous, but not good enough across the whole game. Zaha was decent though I thought.

we still have big problems. The defence just isn't good enough and the midfield keeps going missing during games. despite the goal I wasn't impressed with Cabaye once more and both Ledley and McArthur were average at best. Townsend was anonymous most of the match.
got a feeling Liverpool will rip us apart next week. |

McArthur, Ledley & Cabaye together in midfield does not work. Never has.
Kelly at left back does not work. Never has. Playing this system without a number 10 does not work. Never has. The lack of a number 10 or genuinely creative midfielder becomes more glaringly obvious per game. Sure, the defence hasn't been great, especially the full backs, but it's the ease at which the opposition gets through our midfield that concerns me more. We have no one capable of controlling a game from midfield and no one that links the middle of the park to Beneteke. We just hope the wingers can supply the big man with ammo and when that doesn't happen we look lost. I understand we're in transistion but to me we don't have the players to play this particular system, in fact I'm beginning to think a 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1 system might suit us better. |

FT: 2-4.
Defensive horror show. the really sad thing is how predictable losing at home has become. How much longer do we put up with that? |

What's happened to our defending from corners? We were a mess at the back.
If we'd got one of those penalties on Wilf/Benteke it might have been different. Haven't watched it back, but they look definite fouls at the time. Liverpool move the ball so quick and are a top side, but God I hope they don't win the league. |

Yet another home defeat. Getting seriously fed up with this. And with our next 4 home games against Man City, Southampton, Man United and Chelsea I can only envisage more losses on the horizon. Too late for a refund on the season ticket?! 15 league games without a clean sheet, too. That's verging on half a season, now. Abysmal. And once again I find myself thinking after a match that I have no clue as to what our formation or tactics were supposed to be or what the hell the coaches do in training all week. And then there's this... Quote:
Pardew: Christ, are we screwed.
"We worked hard and defended well but we should have put more pressure on Liverpool. |

I would hope not one single Palace fan asks for Pardew to be sacked. I recall all the shit Newcastle fans got when we wanted him out, so it would be rather two faced if after a shit show (we told you), and consistant bad form (we told you), and his ****ing antics (we told you about that as well), you decided like we did that he needed to go.
To be honest, I hope you get relegated, I hope he drags you down and the football media can put you down for daring to rebuke 'ole Pards on his rather piss poor ability. |

^ 3 things certain in life... death, taxes & delusional toon fans. do us a favour, go back to cloud cuckoo land and keep your paranoid diatribe to yourself... cheers.
as for yesterday, we need better full backs... i'm also beginning to think a 3-5-2 might be better for us cos we could then drop ward & kelly... ledley also needs to be dropped and flamini given a go. and cabaye does my head in... we spend £30m on a striker who is one of the best headers in the league & cabaye takes short corners... you couldn't make it up. |

Odd as I am not a Newcastle fan. Been there once in my life, and that was to drive through it. Nice that your only counter is to make up something in order to not actually account for how Palace fans acted when you got Alan. Hope he drags you down further.
We went 5 unbeaten before the international break, so much for "consistent bad form". So far we're doing pretty much what you'd expect for a mid-table side. And he took us to our first cup final in 26 years last season. |

So glad to have Dann snd Delaney back together.
Hoping we do well as my mum supports Burnley and my parents have gone up there. I don't have much faith mainly because Dyche has got Burnley very tight at the back and I can't see us breaking through. |

Aside from Souare, that's pretty much our best team on paper. Now let's see if they can play like it...

H/T 2-0. We've looked alright in attack, unfortunately our defence is a complete mess. Dann is the only one of this back 5 I trust.
Meanwhile their defence is great. |

I actually can't believe just how bad Mandanda seems to be. so many in the game thought he was a top signing but he just doesn't seem capable of saving anything.
Pardew's solution to the left back issue is to swap Ward and Kelly? what a mess. he must really hate Fryers. |

Jesus what a game. Gutting.
I feel sorry for Zaha, he destroyed them in the second half. |

surprise surprise, the defence lets us down again. Do we even have a defensive coach at the club? clearly not.
It was said a dozen or so posts a go, if we have to score at least 2 goals every game to even earn a point then we are screwed. No clean sheet in 16 league matches now. |

Dismal run of results starting even earier this season , not expecting anything after the break with Guardiola's lot next in line to inflict another home defeat
