1-0 at half-time.
got away with it in that first 20 minutes. we just didn't get going. we can't afford to play like that in the second half. we need to up it a gear or two. |

definitely pleased with that result... any advantage no matter how slim was always going to be a bonus as cardiff are a very good side...
...i thought we were gonna get blown away in that first 20 minutes but we defended like trojans... just a shame we couldn't find that 2nd goal... ...and great to see selhurst jumping like that... brilliant atmosphere from start to finish...

Yeah Selhurst is still great when it's packed.
![]() Seemed like a lot of defending, but we got there. Just one more match... |

No, we're not skint anymore, Rhumble. Our new owners are multi-millionaires but unlike our previous owners they are not going to throw in loads of money for the sake of it. They are shrewd businessmen who are all Palace fans and are prepared to take everything just one step at a time.
![]() As for last night, it wasn't the greatest of performances, I thought Cardiff played very well for an hour, they are a good side. But we got the vital goal to take back to their place. Hopefully we don't just go there and try to defend it otherwise we will get turned over. The back four were brilliant, especially Gardner, but credit to both Jedinak and KG who were both terrific in protecting them. |

glad Liverpool have the advantage over City. if we did somehow make it
to Wembley i would rather it be a Palace v Liverpool final. |

Lots of rumours starting up about the future of Zaha again even though he's just signed a contract extension. Newcastle seemed to be the most heavily linked. If you believe what you read then a lot will depend on whether we make the Carling Cup Final or not.

Half time Palace 1 Leeds 0.
Unfortunately Sean Scannell was sent off at the end of the half for a second bookable offence... |

That started so well, Ambrose looked superb again and Martin had his best game since he joined imo.
All in all, a decent result against 12 men.... |

We probably would have got the three points if it wasn't for the sending off.
Disappointed that we once again failed to win at home, far too many draws. But I can't complain too much... as Joooe says, it was doubly hard against 12 men! |

i though the sending off was harsh and i have no doubt that we would have gone on to win the game if we had 11 men for the 90 minutes...
...gonna be interesting to see how we approach this weekends game and what team is put out what with the 2nd leg of the semi final next tuesday night... |

It may not have helped that Murrow came on at 80 minutes, was booked 3 minutes later, and the first goal was conceded 2 minutes later. Still, the Reserves held out for 85 minutes... |

well it's done now but I have to admit about not being happy with the team selection.
at the very least we should have had a bench full of first teamers. we better not blow it on Tuesday after all this. |
