just on my way back now... that was awesome... even if they had 11 men they wouldn't have coped with our forward play today... bolasie was unplayable, some of the things he did was magic!
...it can be difficult playing against 10 men but we were all over them and apart from that one moment when they hit the post they offered nothing... |

In past seasons, even against ten men, we wouldn't have controlled it like we did today.
Zaha was a bit off, but then Bolasie made up for it. What a signing he's been. Fantastic.

What a win!!
Nothing, and I mean nothing is better than beating Brighton. Their fans looked absolutely shattered at the end. Bloody brilliant!!! |

Bolasie was majestic today. Some of his runs were magnificent. The Brighton back-line couldn't handle him at all.
The game may have been different without the sending off but frankly who cares, we tore them apart after that and it was a joy to watch. That's 40 points in the bag on December 1st. The past few seasons it's taken us to about Easter to achieve that. What a turnaround! |

Home to Stoke in the Cup then. Nothing special, but at least it's not another Championship side.

tough draw but at least it's at home and it's a chance for a premier league scalp... nothing to fear!

Happy with the Cup draw. Getting a home tie was the main thing what with the busy period over Christmas & the New Year. |

do we really want a potential cup run to get in the way of a possible promotion push?

today's team:
Speroni; Blake, Ramage, Delaney, Parr; Jedinak (c), Dikgacoi; Bolasie, Garvan, Zaha; Murray Subs : Price, Wilbraham, Easter, Moxey, O'Keefe, Moritz, Gabbidon tough match today. only 1 win for us in our last 13 games against Blackpool. plus they have failed to score in only one of their last 15 competitive matches against us. |

Blackpool still proving to be a bogey side for us. Murray with his 18th of the season. |

Definitely a game of two halves today.
First half we didn't show up and Blackpool were well worth their lead at the break. Different story second half and we fought back really well only to blow it right at the end. But in all fairness over the 90 minutes a point apiece was a fair outcome. |

Yep first half wasn't great, but I like the way we picked it up in the second.
Could have finished it off too - Bolasie's run from half way was great! Can't argue with the draw. |

1st half we sucked... been a while since we played that badly but at least we turned it around... i suppose if we can put in below par performances and still not get beat it's a good sign...

Tough Christmas period coming up, starting Saturday - Brum away, without Jedinak.
If we're still going strong come the end of the month (and particularly the Boxing Day game), I'll be quietly confident about the rest of the season. |

Gonna be interesting to see who Ollie replaces Jedi with. No Ambrose for Brum, he's out injured.
Three of the next four away and as Joooe says all of them tough. I think we're gonna learn alot about our potential promotion credentials between now and the New Year. |

Murray with his 19th & 20th of the season but we've forgotten how to finish teams off. 2-0 up, in control and then we blow it. and with other results everything has become very condensed at the top now. |

Not many times this season I've been disappointed but I was on Saturday. We got ourselves in to a great position and had the game won, then we just seemed to switch off. Credit to Brum for not letting their heads drop but there was no way at 2-0 up we should have thrown that away.

definitely 2 points dropped on saturday... we need to get back to being tight at the back... starting this weekend against huddersfield... a win going in to the big one at cardiff on boxing day is just the tonic...

Let's hope we can put on a good show for the Sky viewers today.
Would definitely be an important win before Boxing Day. |
