we shouldn't have lost... 1st half we were awful but much improved in the 2nd... they weren't much better and a draw would have been fair... but there goal was a moment of class...
... only big positive was joniesta... people harp on about zaha or murray or even bolasie but our real gem is williams, he is a different class...

Disappointing result.
Definitely a game of two halves for us but we should never had lost. Great goal for them, though. On to tonight and the Cup replay at Stoke. Hopefully we have a right go! |

Harsh result in the end, but did well to match them as much as we did.
A bit more luck (and no penalty miss) and we could have won this tonight. Hopefully they're not too tired for Saturday. |

after extra time: Stoke 4-1 Palace
scoreline flatters them greatly. we gave a real good effort but fell apart after going 2-1 down early in extra time. |

we did really well up until their 2nd goal went in.... we were definitely the better team in the final stages of the 90 minutes... that 1st half penalty miss ended up costing us...
... bolton up next and the return of dougie! |

Not too fussed about going out the Cup. We gave a good account of ourselves and more than matched them over the two matches despite the final scoreline suggesting otherwise.
Elsewhere, we have signed Norwich midfielder Jacob Butterfield on a month's loan. Link. |

full-time: Palace 0-0 Bolton
this poor run of results continues. we still got some breathing space where the play-offs are concerned but its tightening up. |

not the best of games... thought we edged it overall, definitely in the 2nd half... but in the end it was a very frustrating afternoon...

Could have won it in the second, but Bolton came not to concede and did well.
Nice to see there was not much reaction - good or bad - to Dougie Freedman. |

At least we didn't lose, I don't think I could have stomached that!
Looks like Zaha is off to Old Trafford. A deal is close... apparently. £12m plus *hopefully* him being loaned back to us for the rest of the season. If that is the outcome then I would gladly take it. Link. |

I've been ignoring all the Zaha stuff this month, as there's just so much crap written. But the stories in the last few days do seem more genuine than before.
Came into this season with the understanding that it'll be his last, so as long as we keep him 'til the summer it'll be a good deal I think. |

it will be sad to see zaha go, although great if we can get him back on loan til may... but i would be more gutted if it was jonny williams going...
... i hope some of the funds will be given to ollie to strengthen... |

Hmm I know this has been the case a few times now, but some suggestion that the Zaha deal is done tonight.

No official confirmation from either Palace or United, though... |

It has been reported by the BBC as a done deal, assuming he passes a medical in the next 48 hours.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21180202 I know he hasn't scored many goals for Palace - has he provided lots of assists? |

£15m for a player who in the championship has little assists and a small amount of goals.
The way people talk about zaha you would think that he was ripping up the championship. The boy has talent but £15m is way over priced. No wonder blackpool want more money from Liverpool for tom ince. Tom ince has done more at Blackpool then what zaha has done at palace. |

Only time will tell if he will or won't make it, be I know at the moment I wouldn't swap him for Ince if that offer was on the table.
If they can hone his abilities he will do very well at that level I think. Plus not having 2 to 3 opposition players on him every time he gets the ball will certainly help him! |

In a few years time that £15m will look like peanuts and a bargain. Fair enough some of what Zaha has is potential but he is an incredible talent and so exciting to watch (although infuriating at times!) At United I've no doubt that his talent will be nurtured and he will grow in to the huge star that we at Palace believe he will be.

Matt Ritchie being linked to us as possible replacement for Zaha.
Link. Really good player. Would be an excellent signing if it were to happen. |

If Man U sign Zaha and loan him back for the rest of the season as is being reported, will the away fans be singing “He’s just too good for you” for the rest of the season lol
Maybe we’ll have to start singing “He’s just too good for us”

Reports we've had a bid rejected for Albert Adomah now. We certainly seem to be going for wingers. Linky Quote:
