that was always going to happen. we had no penalty takers left on the pitch! Ambrose, Murray & Martin all subbed.
proud of them. we gave it everything. just wasn't to be. |

Well I understand that Welsh clubs in the English leagues started off in them and that's why they are playing in them today but I feel that these English tournements should be won by English teams. Of course no offence to the Welsh teams

We should be playin' in the Welsh league innit.
Commiserations to Palace, although it'll be a beautiful thing to see Cardiff lose in yet another Wembley final.

they will definitely go in the Summer. i'd rather keep Scannell than Zaha anyway. what we do need is a striker who can actually score goals. we still lack big time in that department. |

The word English doesn't appear in any of the tournament names..Barclays premier league, FA cup, League cup, Npower championship/league1/league2. So their not English tournaments..

Well actually the Prem is called the English Premier League fully. The others as you say don't, however they are made for English teams, due to the Welsh and Irish leagues Ect. Don't take this in the way that I think Cardiff and Swansea should play in wales. I think they should play here as they started off here. I just don't wan't them taking over and wining the tournments. However Cardiff lifting the Carling Cup would be a great result against City or Liverpool

When yor talking screen to screen sometimes things can get taken in the wrong way. I'm not suggesting that welsh clubs should not win anything for a second, im just saying i don't like them winning the tournements. I have no problem with welsh teams playing here, but when they start to take the tournements from the English clubs playing in the right leagues it does get annoying.
I don't wan't to continue this anymore as I may come across as hating Wales as itself, as i don't. Best of luck to cardiff in the final but my support will be with the other team. |

Not sure personally that Paddy McCarthy should have had a second yellow, and I felt so sorry for Anthony Gardner with the own goal, and shame Palace weren't given the penalty that the commentators (and I agreed with them) said should have happened.
Well done to Palace (played with 10 men a lot of the time). Now, Cardiff, go and win at Wembley! - do it for the Championship!

Good run while it lasted , but the better team on the night went through . Not to have a single shot on target the whole match just shows our lack of fire power , plus we gave the ball away far too often in decent positions .
At least it's Brighton next up so should be a decent crowd & the chance of doing the double over them will soon lift spirits . |

Obviously gutted about the final outcome but I have no real complaints. We didn't really deserve it. Cardiff were the better side - I lost count how many times they hit the woodwork. One was cleared off the line and Jules had to make a few top class saves. We couldn't even muster one shot on target in 120 minutes, that says it all. We defended like trojans again and you cannot fault the effort the lads put in and it's been a great cup run, but it just wasn't to be. Quote:

Throat still sore and head hurts like hell. Never felt so down coming away from a match as last night.
![]() We just have too few attacking ideas to compete against the top clubs in the league. |

still gutted about last night... but at least we have some time to recover before playing brighton, and what better way to get morale back up then by beating them!
on a side note... voting for the new club crest has begun... there are 6 to choose from... link my favourite is option e, followed by option b, then option a... |

my favourite is option e, followed by option b, then option a... I like C except the eagle itself. As for D and F. Both are lame. |
