Lol why ?. I don't get it. Was it something to do with the team ?
I'm honestly not sure if it was supposed to have relevance haha. Suppose you could say we are gonna torture the opposition (or more likely get tortured ourselves ), but probably I think it was just a cool image.

We have a supporters group who design these things and then fans put in money towards them.

It represents the jigsaw that is our team selection and how Ollie has to piece together our strongest XI to give us the best chance of staying up.

Or I'm talking complete balls and have no idea like everyone else.

Southampton winger Jason Puncheon has signed on a season-long loan.

Really pleased with that one. Puncheon could be perfect for us.

Yep, I'm pleased, too, with this acquisition. The midfield and attack has come together nicely - just a pity we can't rub a magic lamp and get Murray back now rather than later.

Hopefully we still get in another defender before the window closes. Rich Cawley of the SLP reckons we are close to getting in another season long loan.

Now I know I'm a miserable sod that only sees the negative side but once again I am totally underwhelmed by this signing.
Where's our Scott Parker, Tom huddlestone, Johan Elmander, jake Livermore, Adel Taarabt or Loic Remy?
Someone to give the whole place a bit of a lift, make us feel like maybe we believe we might just shock everyone.
Put in a cheeky bid for someone like Chris eagles, good player that would really get the crowd going as well.
Sorry and I realise its a bit of a whine but im just disappointed that once again we can only get a similar sized clubs cast offs.

From everything I've heard about him once Campana is at 100% and playing regularly you won't be giving any of the names you mention a second thought.

My concern remains at the back. We need one, if not two extra defenders in before the window closes.

If Parker, Elmander and Livermore are the type of players that lift you, then I think we're better off not going for your suggestions!

I am sure he could but like some of the other players suggested would he have been prepared to take such a dip in wages?

1-0 at the half. Decent game and some good football from us at times, we're knocking it about much better than last week. A few sloppy balls now and again but another 45 like that and I will be happy.

Well I can't imagine they are on much more than we would now pay. All now at clubs that are around our size I think.
Anyway it's all academic, they are all tied up now while we seem to be shopping at primark.

Maybe true for Hull but Newcastle (Remy) and Parker (Fulham) will be on a lot more I suspect.

Just got a text from a mate who's gone today. Says we are actually looking the part, giving as good as we get from stoke in most departments so fingers crossed we can get the job done.

2-1. this is why we need to get in a couple of defenders. that was a terrible goal to give away. if the first was poor defending the second was shocking defending. all the good work in the 1st half now gone.

Exactly. You cannot defend that way in this division and expect to get away with it.

full-time: Stoke 2-1 Palace

definitely more positives from an attacking point of view but unless we strengthen at the back we won't get anywhere. we were in a great position and the awful defending cost us.

Good first half. Bad second half. Two terrible defensive moments cost us the game, but our general play in the second 45 was a lot sloppier than in the first.

We need a commanding centre-back at the very least before the window closes.

As a team we looked improved, but for those two crappy moments at the back!

Campana and Chamakh I thought really got us playing some nice stuff in the first half. So frustrating to fall apart when Stoke came flying out in the second.
