So who is available at the bargain price that we only seem to want to pay?
Can't think of any decent centre halves that are in our price range. |

On an undoubtedly positive note, how bloody good does the 'evil' sash kit look?

yeah, the kit does look great...
![]() we were the business in the 1st half, i was well pleased going in to half time... apart from a couple of scares we were in control of the match and things looked good... but our heads stayed in the dressing room for that first 30 minutes of the second half, we were very very poor, a total opposite of the 1st half... you defend like that in the premier league and you can't argue about getting beaten... ... the real sad thing is that we have lost points against a team we need to be gaining points from... |

Good to know that Man City can defend just as badly. All is not lost!

result: Bristol City 2-1 Palace
a load of crap. a good opportunity to get a win under our belt and build confidence but instead we send out the reserves with an attitude of it doesn't matter if we lose. a good cup run would have been great, it's not like we're going to be winning loads of league games. total BS. |

Is it wrong that I almost completely forgot this game was on? Probably. Meh, bring on Saturday. Quote:

what a wasted opportunity... we should have taken this seriously and we didn't and by all accounts we were very very poor... so a crap performance and another defeat, how does that help to boost morale and confidence within the club exactly?

What if we'd played the first team and still lost?

I have to admit that I too am disappointed that we didn't put out a stronger looking XI. From the off it looks like the management team couldn't give a damn about this competition which IMO is a shame as a decent/long cup run would have been a good distraction from the League where it's going to be extremely tough for us with wins probably few and far between. And when you consider what Swansea and Wigan did in the cups last year I find our approach to last night even more disappointing. But, it's done now. On to Saturday. |

Meh, bring on Saturday. Seriously? A man who was playing for Juventus last year isn't good enough for us? He gets great reviews from his time at Sunderland. Giant cock though. |

Bendtner would score lots of goals for you.
Giant cock though. ![]() Seems Holloway has said today that he's not likely to come now. Jimmy Kebe from Reading is the latest name. And William Gallas linked again, I believe he's about 805 now? |

kebe would be a good signing but where gallas is concerned are we seriously expected to believe that of all the defenders out there in the uk and across europe a 36-year old way past his prime is the best we can do? ...if so we may as well plan for the championship next season already...

CRYSTAL Palace boss Ian Holloway says he’s “excited” at who the Eagles might sign before Monday night’s transfer deadline. Anyone else thinking "I'll believe it when I see it." ?
The manager hinted he may look abroad for his second season-long loan after signing Jason Puncheon from Southampton. “It might be three or four, maybe even five if we’re lucky. “The window is almost closed. I want it all done by Monday and we’ve got lots of slots for medicals. “I think the fans seeing new players coming in, they will be an extra man too. “The chairman, myself and Phil Alexander have been working right around the clock. “I think the fans will be very happy if we manage to get a few of these over the line.” |

Yep, Holloway is fast becoming the council house version of Wenger.
One things for sure, we need signings more than any other team in the league if we want to have any chance of survival. |

Two of our targets - Jack Hunt, defender for Huddersfield, and Jimmy Kebe, winger from Reading - neither of them are in their respective squads today apparently. Read in to that what you will.

surely we can't be interested in Hunt, he's a defender!
