to be fair to him, AJ is still only 32... he would bring some good experience and the one thing he does know is where the goal is... give him a chance and he will stick the ball in the back of the net more times than not... if he stays fit obviously!

Radio 5 Live claiming that AJ has agreed to return. At least that saved us from Bendtner!

Sounded like the Guedioura deal was off...now sounds like it could be back on again.
Who the hell knows what's going on?! |

Still no concrete news on the Guedioura deal this morning. We await.
But the season-long loan signing of Cameron Jerome did happen. Not excited by that one at all TBH. |

Absolutely gutted that the AJ deal fell through. Typical Redknap tho by the sounds of it, wheeling and dealing and moving the goalposts at the last minute.
Not sure what to make on many of the other deals, lots of unknowns and maybes I think. |

Think overall we did well. Will be interesting to see who makes the 25 as we now seem to have a lot of options. Quote:

our 25-man Premier League squad has been announced:
Goalkeepers: Julian Speroni, Lewis Price, Neil Alexander; Defenders: Joel Ward, Jonathan Parr, Jack Hunt, Paddy McCarthy, Danny Gabbidon, Damien Delaney, Dean Moxey, Adrian Mariappa; Midfielders: Mile Jedinak, Kagisho Dikgacoi, Barry Bannan, Adlene Guedioura, Stuart O’Keefe, Jimmy Kebe, Jerome Thomas, Yannick Bolasie, Jason Puncheon, Elliot Grandin; Forwards: Cameron Jerome, Dwight Gayle, Kevin Philips, Marouane Chamakh. should be noted that this doesn't include any U-21's. so Williams and Campana for example can be picked also at any time. but one question - what about Murray when he's fit again? |

Think the squad seems fairly decent now compared to when we started.
You re-register the list in January don't you, so Murray can come back in if he's fit? |

As they mentioned on Match of the Day recently that Sunderland had players from 15 different countries, I thought that I would check to see how many countries the Palace squad came from - the answer is only 13.
The breakdown is: England 9 Ireland 2 Scotland 2 Wales 2 Congo 2 Argentina 1 Norway 1 Jamaica 1 Australia 1 South Africa 1 Algeria 1 Mali 1 Morocco 1 |

Squad looks more than fine to me, especially when you add the likes of Williams and Campana to it.
There seems to be a bit of fuss about Garvan and Dobbie missing out but are they really that big a loss? The strange one is Marange. Why buy him and then not pick him? Has he not impressed, was he a mistake? Murray should be part of the January squad, so it gives him a clear target now. Hopefully he is fit & ready by then. Interesting to see the nationality breakdown of the squad - cheers for that. |

Jack Hunt apparently said on Twitter that he's broken his ankle. What a horrible start for the lad. ![]() And crappy timing straight after naming the 25 too! Quote:
Suppose the same could be said of Dobbie , seems strange forking out money for him at the start of the season , & now looks like he's not wanted

![]() And crappy timing straight after naming the 25 too! Meanwhile, the SLP is saying Jonny Williams could be out for up to 5 months! Link.Fingers crossed the scan results prove them wrong. |
