Just watching Swansea batter Valencia in the Europa League. They are a very, very good side and we will do well to get a point against them on Sunday.

I remember that well. We got turned over far too easily in both games that season. Just been looking at our overall record against them, it's not particularly good!
Still, it's clubs like Swansea that we need to aspire to. Hopefully we can give them a good game. |

Is the match on television? If so, which channel?

not on tv. but plenty of online streams.
0-1 at half-time. lucky it's only 1 after that first 10 minutes. |

no real width, so what was the point of bringing in all those wingers? no natural goalscorer either.
we got ourselves back in to the game as the half went on but you can see the difference in class. |

0-2. game effectively over. can't believe Holloway didn't name a defender on the bench.
the way things are going this could be a complete thrashing. |

piss poor. 4 defeats in the opening 5 league games. today we looked like an average championship side. |

Extremely poor today. Once again our passing and possession was atrocious for the majority of the game. Just what are they doing in training? Even simple passes keep going awry, it's just not good enough.
I wasn't sure about the starting XI today, either. Jerome & Chamakh up front? Surely that just invites long balls? As Tusk mentions above, no real width either. We could have played from now until Xmas and we still wouldn't have looked like scoring. And to not even have one defender on the bench was asking for trouble. Any positives? Swansea not running up a huge score. I liked the look of Mariappa again. And once more the support was sensational. If we're not going to have a good time on the pitch this season we will certainly have a good time of it in the stands! |

holloway - "I can't see a positive thing. We were awful, so I am very disappointed.
"I think we were completely outplayed by a better team and there is a lot of work for us to do." outplayed, outclassed, out of our depth... that was painful today... |

Pretty poor all round, we're trying to pass it but just aren't any good at it. The two positives for me:
I thought Bannan looked decent. And my seat's been fixed after it broke against Sunderland. |

Marriappa moving into the centre then presumably?
And thankfully Joel Ward should be back at right-back. Ex-Portsmouth too, he should be well up for it. |

This is comical. We just keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again. First, giving away possession just outside our own box leads to the first goal. Second, just like at Old Trafford, the wall does not jump for a free-kick and bang, it's 2-0. If Gabbidon had jumped it would have hit him.

we're clearly out of our depth. poor at the back, can't keep possession in midfield, and have no bite up front.

Put on a plate for Jerome. He skies it way over. Says it all.

I really don't get the formation we 're trying to play. Just looks a mess to me.
Definitely no light at the end of this very dark tunnel at the moment. |
