How long is Glenn Murray injured for, maybe if you guys can pick up a steady amount of points, lets say just in relegation zone, until he gets back, then he can help u
All going well he should be available again in January.

if we could clone Murray as triplets then we might have a chance!

seriously though, we can't be relying on just him, that's too much pressure on one man. we need the current crop to stand up and be counted.

We need to start creating better chances, otherwise not even Murray would do much for us right now!

Today was my first away day of the season and as is so often the case it was only the football that lets it down.

Still Southampton started pretty badly themselves last season if I remember right, and things turned out alright for them in the end.

Just so you know, the "Premiership, you're 'aving a laugh" chants today wern't actually directed at your club. It's a reference to an FA Cup game we played when we were in League One, beating Ian Holloway's Blackpool 2-0 and chanting it then. After the game, he got lairy about it because he hates us and said "Yeah I'm having a laugh every week while we're in the Premier League and they're in League One".

We got promoted and they were relegated.

I see you have got Liverpool and Arsenal coming up - doesn't seem to get any easier.

The key will be beating the likes of Fulham and Norwich as the other 2 promoted sides have.

To be honest, mate, until Holloway sorts out the disjointed formation I can't see us beating anyone.

I really don't get the formation we 're trying to play. Just looks a mess to me.
i agree with that... why did he bring all those players in and then keep playing some out of position? like gayle for instance who looks more and more lost every time i see him...

can't see us getting anything but another beating at anfield this weekend so we really need to take advantage of the international break and get things sorted...

Florian Marange has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Link.

Best. Signing. Ever.

Getting a hiding by the sounds of it.
By the way, anyone else noticed how Danny baker never mentions on twitter the team he claims to love yet always mentions a palace loss. Bit sad I think.

3-1 full-time.

hopeless in the 1st half. once again looking out of our depth. glad to see Gayle get a goal and Campana just has to start against Fulham.

These 'big six' away matches are essentially pointless - another dodgy decision didn't help, but Liverpool's attack is obviously in a different class.

On the plus side, I thought we looked better in attack than we have in ages today. And we scored! An actual goal!

The defence was a shambles in that first half but I'm not impressed with Holloway's starting line-up and tactics again. We'd lost 3 on the bounce and he plays 4-3-3 away from home against one of the form teams? With the space Liverpool found because of that was it any surprise we got blown away so early?

And God knows what's happened to Jedi of late, his passing just gets worse and worse by the game.

Holloway is far far far more annoying this time around in the Premier League than last time, I don't know if its because Palace aren't as likeable as Blackpool or what, but his whining on constantly about referees, his 'we won the 2nd half' comments.

He comes across as an embittered small time manager when he really should be acting like the PL manager he is

I understand where you're coming from Ambassador. Don't get me wrong, I quite like the man and he did a fine job taking over from Dougie last season and getting us up, but so far this season he keeps blaming everyone and everything else for our poor results instead of taking a look at himself. The buck stops with him at the end of the day and I've not been impressed with either his team selections or tactics of late.

Big game tonight. After what happened on transfer deadline day, Darren Bent is bound to score against us!

With Arsenal coming up next weekend we really need to make it count tonight.

Damn, forgot all about Bent!

Really hope we go out and attack as a win tonight would be massive.

this is really hard to take. we've done well, looked comfortable and have been done by not 1 but 2 world class goals from out of nothing. absolute sickener.

It's embarrassing.

Surely Olly won't stay much longer?

like i just said in another thread, the only thing we're going to achieve this season is beating Derby's unwanted record. we are woefully out of our depth in this league.
