Avram Grant, i guess he was unlucky after reaching the CL final. But you palace fans, could make up a few songs, and mention penfold into em

So a bit like the other week and Sunderland, Palace will be managed on saturday by an assistant manager, against Aresnal. Good luck to him.

Lol.

I honestly don't get where all these Grant rumours have come from.

More from Parish:

"It's a completely different challenge for Ian and a completely different challenge for us at the club," said Parish.

"I was more than happy to get relegated and come back up with Ian. The word "sacked" has never been mentioned among the directors.

"Ian's been very noble and he's come forward and said "I can't do it."

"I've spent three days trying to get Ian in the frame of mind that he can do it against Arsenal.

"You'd love to have someone in place next week but I haven't got a list. I wanted Ian to wake up and say "sorry about the blip" and stay".

Confirmed that Keith Millen, assistant manager to Holloway, will take temporary charge of the game against Arsenal.

As a leeds fan I really hope you. Don't get Warnock
But living in Watford they are worried you might move for Zola
Could do worse

can't see us making a move for zola.... it's most likely gonna be someone who is currently out of a job...

...the more i think about it the more i reckon it will be pulis.

After one win in eight games, culminating in Monday night's 4-1 defeat to Fulham, Holloway hinted he would walk, and it was confirmed at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

Holloway brought in 14 players over the summer, something he admitted was a mistake.

He said: "I have pride in the job we've both done. It wasn't easy. If Steve's [Parish] last manager wasn't headhunted I wouldn't have been here.

"I have to hold my hand up and say we didn't keep the spirit that got us up. We changed too much too quickly."

He added: "Someone new coming in now with a tad more experience at this level will have 30 games left."

Parish, speaking after the press conference said if he (Pulis) is interested, then Palace will talk to the former Stoke City boss.

"I don’t know Tony and I’ve not spoken to him. I don’t know whether he wants to come and manage Crystal Palace," Parish said.

"We’re second-from-bottom, it’s an attractive proposition for some and it might not be for him, I don’t know.

"There are some obvious names aren’t there? To not have a conversation with them, if they were happy to do that, would be silly.

"I’m sure we’ll contact him and if he’s interested, we’ll have a chat with him and see where we go."

Parish also confirmed the Palace board has already drawn up a long list of candidates to replace Ian Holloway.

Pulis has been installed as the early bookies favourite for the job, ahead of the likes of Neil Warnock, Roberto Di Matteo and Alan Pardew.

day 14,238 in the soap opera that is our club!

the press conference was quite hard to watch. not often you see such honesty and dignity these days.

not sure where we go from here. i don't like the sound of either Pulis or Grant. or Warnock for that matter, and i don't get the clamour for Di Matteo also.

Pulis would give the players, or at least certain players a kick up the arse, and would hopefully sort us out from a defensive point of view, but is he the answer long term? I'm not so sure.

tbf, you've got to reeeeeally want a challange...

Maybe it'll suit someone who's young and confident enough to believe they can make an impression.

Pulis doesn't seem all that keen - "waiting for the right job" (or money)

Steve Parish, has said he wants a manager who has had premier league experience, apart from Pulis, i think they would struggle to get that.

What about Karl Robinson, it would give him a chance at the Premier League, and if things went wrong, he would still be managing at a higher level than at MK.

Of course penfold is another possibility

Spoken as a Stoke fan, You could do worse than Pulis. It may not be pretty, but it can be effective at keeping you up. Personally I would be concerned if you got him because it would potentially reduce the likelihood of you taking one of the relegation spots (making room for us).

This could be a bad one today.

Although if there was any week for us to get a win over Arsenal, it'd be this one!

For anyone brave enough to see how Palace get on today the match is being televised by BT Sport at 12.45.

This weekend the channel is free, and can be seen on Freeview 57.

0-0 at half time. a whole half without conceding a goal!

we've worked hard but it's helping that Arsenal are below par so far.

0-2 full time.

some of that was quite encouraging although i still can't see where our next goal is coming from.

at least it wasn't the thrashing most of us were fearing.

lots of effort, some nice possession play but that's about it really... we have no goal threat whatsoever so what does the rest matter if you are never going to score?
