ex inter manager stramaccioni could do a job for you, maybe not keep you up but get you back up.
Perhaps Palace were hoping Newcastle would lose to Chelsea and Spurs to let them scoop up Pardew |

In the soap opera that is palace the sad thing is Sven arriving wouldn't be that much of a shock!!
In the 40 years I've been a fan it seems all we've ever done is shoot ourselves in the foot every time we make a little progress. Never dull being a palace fan

from everything i have heard and read in the past 48 hours it seems like it's going to be either Dowie or Petrescu.
the prospect of Dowie returning leaves a bitter taste in the mouth to say the least. i hope it's Petrescu. |

If it turns out to be Dowie, what a kick in the teeth to fans that would be after the way he left the club before.
I'd rather Petrescu or Pulis to him any day of the week. Hell, I'd prefer Mr Blobby to him! |

Thing is dowie is an impact manager, he comes in and seems to hit the ground running, gives the whole place a lift. Maybe that's just what's needed now?
That said I must admit I lost a lot of respect for him the way he lied his way out last time. From what ive heard Petrescu is a strong favourite now tho. |

3 weeks gone and still no announcement and now all these rumours about dowie! seriously?! jesus wept...
petrescu would be an exciting appointment... dowie would be the complete opposite. and i'd still be happy with pulis... |

Supposed to be an announcement today but I'm not holding my breath.
At this point, Petrescu is my number one choice, followed by Pulis. I really don't want it to be Dowie. |

TONY PULIS has pulled out the running for the manager's job at Crystal Palace after a weekend of long-distance negotiations with chairman Steve Parish. http://www.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/crystalpalace |

completely fed up with it all now...it should not have taken this long to get a man in.... and if after all this time we end up with someone like dowie it will be thoroughly depressing...

I feel soory for you Palace fans, a club in a position of yours, needs a manager, and players dont need to be thinking ooh when is the next manager coming, and who is he.
Its wednesday now, even if they got another manager in today, ud end up with Keith Millen, taking the side on Saturday Keith said this fortnight break would be the best time to get a manager in Steve parish said he wanted a manager with Premier League experience, i guess he didnt mean one who has not for the past few years, and just worked for Sky. If Ian Dowie is rumored, u might as well make Alan Curbishley on the same list |

I can't believe Dowie is seriously in the running. With all the best will in the world he is not and never will be a Premiership standard manager.

It's definitely Pulis that seems to be the front-runner again.
Link. I'd still like to believe that there was some hope of getting Petrescu but if it came down to it I would rather Pulis than Dowie. |

It seems to me that your chairman/board is committing premiership suicide with his (lack of) management selection process.

Our owners have been nothing but fantastic since taking over three years ago. But clearly we weren't prepared for the step-up so soon, nor for Holloway leaving.
I do wonder what those fans who wanted Holloway to go are thinking now they've seen the alternative options! |

I would have preferred Petrescu but Pulis will do. At least he knows the Premier League (and also the Championship if it comes to that) |

Not completely sold on Pulis but we'll see what happens, he should at least get us fighting for it a lot more.
Let's hope the players react to it today. Would be nice heading into a new appointment with a win! |
