Really good second half. Actually unlucky not to get a point.

so, 2-1 it is, but what a good account we gave of ourselves. ok, it's a defeat but i'm very pleased with the way things are going under Pulis so far.

and despite the loss we move up one place in the table!

Yes, unlucky to lose, and the Chelsea manager said nice things about us after the match!

I was just about to post that myself. Nice words from Mourinho.

We did well alright in this game. I was a bit fearful before the match but Pulis has got everyone working ever so hard and not only do we look much better at the back but we are suddenly looking much better going forward, too.

That said, I'm still worried about the visit to The Etihad in a couple of weeks. City scoring goals there for fun.

Pulis knows how to make teams hard to beat.

i enjoyed it despite the defeat... i thought we more than matched them for certain periods and can definitely count ourselves a bit unlucky...

suddenly i have a lot more hope about our survival chances and if we can keep this level of work rate, commitment and spirit for the rest of the season we will have a decent shot at staying up...

...one other thing, that was the worse home support vocally that i've seen/heard for a long time... even when they were winning chelsea fans could hardly muster a chant or song, if it hadn't been for us lot singing for 90 minutes the atmosphere would have been like a library...

Pulis has admitted he'd be interested in getting Zaha back on loan in January.

Link.

Toon fan here! You've got good fans behind you and if you'd only took one chance when you were on top it could have given the game a different complexion.

Best of luck for the rest of the season.

At the very least.

No Chamakh, though, serving a one-match ban.

From the beeb

FORMER PALACE CHAIRMAN DIES
1348: Former Wimbledon, Crystal Palace and Brentford chairman Ron Noades has died at the age of 76.
Noades, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in November 2012, was involved with football from 1981 to 1998.
He was in charge of the Eagles during one of the most successful periods in the club's history as they gained promotion to the old First Division in 1989 before reaching the FA Cup final one year later.

RIP Uncle Ron.

He had his critics but no one can take away what he did for the club, too, including presiding over our greatest period.

Very sad and a bit surreal to hear about Ron Noades earlier. Along with Steve Coppell, he seemed like the one ever-present at the club as I was growing up.

Merry Christmas to all of you on here. Let's hope we get a good gift of 3 points on Boxing Day.

So easy to criticise Ron Noades for many things but now really isn't the time.
Fact is without him there probably wouldn't be a Palace as we know it. Saved us and had the vision to bring Sir Steve in.
Also played a large part of bringing in the premier league from what I've read since he died.
Rest in peace Ron and come on Palace, let's get something out of today's game please.
