really unlucky yesterday... the tactics were spot on and even though city had alot of possession every palace player stayed disciplined throughout and they really had to work for that win.

2nd "big" away ground that i've been to now along with stamford bridge where the home crowd are so quiet. their fans barely made a noise or sang a song the entire game... we were the ones that created the atmosphere.

The club have confirmed that Kevin Phillips is to be released.

Link.

All the very best to him. A top pro who did a brilliant job for us, and will obviously go down in Palace folklore for the play-off winner last May.

game on after a pitch inspection but if the heavy rain continues throughout the afternoon it may not finish!

the line-up:

Speroni, Mariappa, Gabbidon, Delaney, Ward, Bolasie, Jedinak, Dikgacoi, Puncheon, Chamakh, Jerome.

Subs : Price, Moxey, Parr, Jonny Williams, Bannan, Gayle, Phillips.

another missed opportunity. very frustrating again.

Once again it's our attack that just wasn't good enough. A big wasted chance today.

Yep, let down by how ineffectual we were in that final third, again.

The sooner Pulis gets in a goalscorer, and the sooner we get Murray back the better. Although they work hard this current strike force is simply not good enough.

yeah, completely agree... it's the only thing missing now as we seem to be doing well everywhere else...

i see we're still being linked to bringing zaha back and we're also being linked to scott dann...

Subs : Price, Moxey, McCarthy, O'Keefe, Dobbie, Puncheon, Chamakh.

A cup run would be nice but I won't be too bothered if we get knocked out.

Brilliant, really pleased with that!

Through to 4th round, goals for Gayle and Chamakh, a start for Williams and McCarthy's alive! A good weekend.

Lovely confidence booster that, too. And nice to finally win a 3rd Round tie! Good stuff.

Cracking result, I'm a firm believer that winning is a habit so can never understand when a struggling team plays the stiffs and goes out early.
Looking forward to a good draw next round, preferably home of course.

We get Mk Dons (please) or Wigan away in the 4th round.

Obviously would have preferred a home draw but it's still more than a decent chance for us to progress.

I see that Zaha will not be returning on loan:

disappointed about zaha... but i guess a goalscorer is more important...

...well pleased about the cup win on saturday, will be good to have a decent run in the fa cup for a change.

Dave Kemp has joined the backroom staff.

LINK.

also strong rumours that Jimmy Kebe is off to Leeds.

Everton striker Nikica Jelavic being linked to us at quite a few places now.

Winger Jason Banton has joined Plymouth on a permanent deal.

Jelavic could be a great signing. Unfortunately it also seems like one that's too good to be true.

Kebe confirmed as going to Leeds now. That was another succesful summer signing.

And the Spurs game confirmed as on after rumours it might be postponed due to that bloody vigil. Should make for an interesting journey tomorrow!

Leeds fan here
We need pace and a winger Or at least somebody who can cross ball
Like his first press conference today as well
Quoted " I haven't cone here fir holiday I come here to get to play offs minimum
Lets hope he doesn't have to pull his socks up during game lol

He'll do well for you. Good player who wasn't given a decent chance with us... and probably won't be now.

Glad the game is definitely on tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it. We have a decent record there in league games the past 2 decades.
