1-0 down at half time.
sounded like we got progressively worse as the half went on. Parr stretchered off injured too. |

Disappointed. But 3 points on Tuesday will more than make up for it. I really would like to see Gayle start that one.

load of crud... another game where we should not have lost although their keeper did have a blinder...
...still no real indication of any new signings... getting concerned now. |

Annoying to go out, but delighted for Wilbraham.
Who needs new signings when we have him finally scoring?!

Some encouraging news from the Croydon Advertiser... perhaps? Quote:
Palace boss Tony Pulis has revealed his transfer intentions for the final week of the January transfer window.
The manager is hoping to bring in “four or five” new players if he can – but he insists the Eagles will not be breaking the bank either. And he doesn’t want anyone just strolling in and not buying into what he is trying to achieve. Pulis admitted they are making enquiries for players and is hoping the club can get a bit of luck in landing their targets before Friday’s deadline. “I think we need to bring in four or five players and I’m not talking about spending money on one of them that is extortionate,” said the boss. “I’m talking about trying to bring players in who have a little bit of experience in the Premier League but also have something to prove. “That is something very, very important for us because it’s a good group. It’s a smashing group of players here, they’ve worked their socks off for one another. “We don’t want to bring in people here who are going to stroll around. We want people coming in here who will roll their sleeves up and have a good for us. “You can go on and on and on about the players who might be available, who might be moving here or there. “You haven’t got long now to wait to see who we bring in and what we bring in. Just be a little bit patient.” And Pulis has insisted any new players Palace manage to bring in will be his choice, not from those above him at board level. He said: “I’ve come to the football club and I like to pick my own players. If I have to pick players on a certain budget, I will do so. “We have got irons in the fire. We’re just hoping that one or two things will drop for us. The important thing is that everybody understands and recognises the task ahead. “We have done fantastically well over the last few months, but that’s just the start of it. We know our level and what we can and what we can’t do do. “I accepted that when I came into the football club. We have to work really hard to get the best that we can get and then get it organised and up and running.” |

1-0 at half time.
Puncheon with the goal. we're giving away far too much possession for my liking though. and our crossing is woeful at times. |

Get in! Feel like I'm ageing just watching us hang-on to these 1-0s, but credit to Pulis for making the changes when he needed to - that tactical switch won the game.
14th in the Premier League!!

That was an ugly victory. Pleased with the win and another three points but we were awful in the second half. We can't be giving the ball away so cheaply like that at home. We just kept inviting Hull on to us, but Pulis got it spot on with the subs.
I don't like seeing players get sent off but McGregor's red card made me laugh. He had that coming the way he was acting throughout the match. Huge win also when you see that three of our next four games are against Arsenal, Everton, and Man United. Let's hope now that we can get a couple of new signings in to bolster things before the deadline. |

Steve Bruce not happy - just sour grapes?
Pulis really has got you organised and it proves Puncheon must have good mental ability to bounce back from that penalty miss to score 2 winners.. |

Pleased for Puncheon but he doesn't half frustrate at times. |

Is Steve Bruce ever happy? The man whinges almost every time he plays us.
Probably because he loses almost every time he plays us.

steve bruce was talking out his arse as usual...
...as for last night, a win's a win i guess... wasn't pretty, wasn't particularly good but it's 3 points which was vital with arsenal up next... ...just hoping now that we make a couple of signings in the next 2 days... |

won't we have to sign puncheon or jerome on a permanent deal though for this to happen?
