i completely agree with you. if Argentina have 3 better than Jules they must be 3 sensational keepers.

That is the thing, they don't, that is the area of the pitch where they are weakest I would say (closely followed by the centreback area), so he could have as good a chance as any to be involved I would say.

That's a good point. Speroni has been fantastic again for us this season but especially since Pulis took charge. His save at the end of today's game was nothing short of world class, but it's something we've just come to expect from him. He genuinely deserves to be in that Argentina squad. Hopefully he gets that chance.

Evening Standard reports that Tony Pulis says "One more win before we talk about next season".

It is interesting to look at the remaining games for the bottom ten teams.

I never imagined I'd see us do this well in the Premier League.

The defence continues to look like a rock and Puncheon is so full of confidence in front of goal. Dann and Ledley have proved to be fantastic signings in January too.

We're almost there!

Nearly there , three wins on the bounce , & 3 clean sheets as well , 5th best defensive record in the league , only team that have done us over is Fulham . Could have done without Cardiff winning today to make it more easy .

as a game it was ok, not great, but really, who cares? another win, another 3 points, another clean sheet... and now we literally are on the very brink of premier league safety... and who would have thought that after the opening 10 games this season?

...the transformation of our club since pulis took charge has been astonishing.

Another step toward safety. Pulis is amazing, the thought that he may move on over the summer scares the crap out of me. Just a thought for Ian holloway, if he hadn't been brave enough to say "I'm not up to this" so early we would be dead by now.
Also, got to say the bottom section of the championship table is looking pretty good to this particular palace fan right now, I'm looking for Yeovil or Barnsley to pick up a couple of wins.

he's getting even more desperate now... the cretin has actually made a formal complaint... i'm with you now, i really hope they go down just because of him...

So what do we hope for tonight?

A win would obviously be fantastic, but unlikely as Everton are chasing for the fourth place in the Premier League.

A draw would be pretty good, but again, perhaps unlikely for the above reason.

As our defence has been so good recently a score of only 1-0 would not be bad.

So far this season our worst losses away from home have been by two goals - it would be good to finish the season like that, as in the worst case scenarios, goal difference may count.

I'd take a point right now. But as you say it's going to be very tough. They are flying right now and are especially good at Goodison - they've won their last 9 at home in all competitions. That's pretty daunting!

a draw would be a brilliant result.

tonight's line-up:

Speroni, Mariappa, Delaney, Dann, Ward, Jedinak, Ledley, Bolasie, Puncheon, Chamakh, Jerome

Subs : Hennessey, Parr, McCarthy, Ince, O'Keefe, Gayle, Murray

Chamakh for KG as expected.

Everton's team is very attacking! They're definitely going for it.
Tusk0312

as expected do far. relying on hitting them on the counter.

Get in! Puncheon yet again!

nice one! we worked that really well and what a lovely finish from Puncheon. he's on fire!

"He's Jason Puncheon, he scores every week."

Bolasie is playing amazing!
Sattrega

Bolasie so unlucky, off the post!

The least said about Jerome's follow up, though, the better.
Tusk0312
16-04-2014
they cannot cope with Bolasie at all so far.
Sattrega

1-0 at the break.

We invited a bit too much pressure there in those final 5 minutes but other than that we have done really well again and can claim to be unlucky that we're not 2-up.

Everton 0-1 Crystal Palace half time

Whatever happens in the second half, the boys have done well!

God I enjoyed that half. Playing like this against a top 4/5 club is incredible.
Tusk0312
16-04-2014
we weathered the early fast start and have been the better team since. Everton got to have a right go at us now so hopefully we can continue to sucker-punch them on the break.

2-0 Dann! What the hell is happening at this club!?
