Lucky escape if you ask me, though of course I don't know who you'll appoint instead so who knows at this stage...

Jesus wept. Now what's going on?

Does any one have a clue? And I include Parish in that!

Keith Millen must also be a front runner now. The reporter at the ground on SSN saying that Parish still hopes to get an appointment in before the West Ham game.

Vincent ****ing Tan again. If the story's true I can understand why we're reluctant to hire Mackay just yet. I doubt we'd want to get much more involved in that mess.

Parish might do well in relieving Moody of his duties, too. has anything positive come from his appointment anyway?

The thing is when talking about behind the scenes guys, none of us really know how things work. He could well be very good at whatever he does.

Moody's position now untenable.

This is pretty damning stuff.

If those texts reported in tomorrow's papers are accurate then Mackay and Moody will never work in football again. We might owe a collective apology to Vincent Tan if that was what he was having to deal with.

Truly appalling stuff, this goes way beyond the Scudamore email scandal. If the reports are true then we are looking at two utterly repellent individuals.

Yup if the allegations are true (which I'm assuming they are otherwise the papers are going to get sued for libel) MM's career is over.

Shocked at this, thought we had got to the end of the Malky/Cardiff saga.

This is just crazy. Could go on for a while.

Thank God we didn't go through with hiring Mackay yesterday!

Although the texts are obviously unacceptable, it's not really a shock that the world of football is inherently racist, sexist and homophobic. I don't think he is the only one who sent those kind of messages. I believe those type of discussions are more common than people think.

SSN reporting that Palace have released a statement saying this is the darkest day in the clubs history slightly OTT perhaps?

I don't think it was an official statement, but someone from the club apparently said it to Sky. Definitely OTT given the crap we've been through in the last few decades!

Better to find this out before he's appointed. Could have been a whole lot messier

If true I wonder if this will involve other well known names. Can't be the only one

I think you've had a lucky escape

nothing confirmed yet from the club but it looks like moody has gone...

...parish's track record for hiring people at palace leaves a lot to be desired...

Moody to resign.

Link.

Although he shouldn't really have had the option to resign, he should have been sacked!
