Wilfried Zaha says he has laid the foundations to push his career forward after scoring a stoppage time equaliser against Newcastle United on his Crystal Palace return.
The Eagles academy graduate, who re-joined the club on loan from Manchester United earlier this week, bagged a well-taken volley in the fifth minute of stoppage time to earn the south Londoners a deserved point in an entertaining 3-3 draw at St James’ Park.
And speaking to cpfc.co.uk after his memorable strike, Zaha said: “To be honest, I’d missed way too many chances before that, so I’m buzzing to get the goal.
“Since I came back, I’ve been comfortable and everyone has shown me love around the place. All I need to do is get settled again and get playing.
“It’s always great to play and I feel at home doing that here with players I’ve played with before.
