Zeki Fryers Completes Palace Move
The 21-year-old has put pen to paper on a three year contract with the Eagles and becomes Neil Warnock's second signing during his second stint as manager, following Wilfried Zaha's loan move on Thursday.

I know, I've given up hope of 4 signings tonight. We've taken all day just to get these two completed, no way can we get anymore done in two hours.

Seems to me that we always faff about with personal terms.

Welcome Zeki. Great name!

Parish has just spoken on 5Live - Paperwork being done on one more player, a striker. He is not currently a Premier League player but has played in the top flight. Expected to be completed in the next hour.

If we're selling Murray for Doyle it will be the worst bit of business I have ever witnessed at this club.

McArthur deal done!

Delighted with McArthur, a hard-working midfielder who can actually pass!

Now lock the gates before Doyle can get in, or Murray out.

Crystal Palace have completed their second signing of transfer deadline day by snapping up midfielder James McArthur from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

26-year-old McArthur has signed a three year contract and travelled down on Monday to meet up with Neil Warnock at the Beckenham Training Ground.

Capped 15 times by Scotland, the midfielder began his career with Hamiton Academicals where he spent five years before making the move south of the border to Wigan Athletic in July 2010.

mcarthur is a top signing... but my joy will be short lived if murray goes... or doyle comes in.

I didn't hear all of the Parish interview on 5Live but some over at BBS reckon he mentioned this mystery striker is currently abroad. If true, that would rule out Doyle.

^ Just seen that. Hmm, currently abroad and used to play in the Premier League.

EDIT: Although someone else now reckons he didn't mention abroad. I hate the transfer window.

looks like it is doyle... on loan until january.... some reports suggesting murray to reading on loan too...

...how can parish & warnock justify that? i don't have the words...

From BBS:

Murray scored 30 league goals in our promotion season (42 games). Doyle has scored 30 league goals for Wolves in 158 league games.

He's also (7 days) older than Murray.

Quite possibly the most underwhelming and uninspiring deal there's ever been at the club.

I would have preferred Roddy Doyle.

the stats say it all though... it's a shocker, it really is. also puts more pressure on gayle to produce the goods as we know campbell won't...

I couldn't care less about Doyle... if we manage to keep hold of Murray.

On the plus side, people have been calling for Gayle to be our main striker. At least we will definitely get to see that this season.

if both these deals do happen the main thing to remember is it doesn't strengthen our front line, it weakens it...

i'm done for the night...

Doyle confirmed on loan 'til January and Murray is going to Reading 'til January for 'match fitness'.

A disappointing end, but we've done some decent enough business too this month.

According to Murray's Twitter account it looks like a permanent deal . "Sad to say I have left CPFC but happy to announce I have joined Reading FC on loan with a view to permanent" .

Later " Humbled by the feedback from the amazing Palace fans , Thank you ! We share very special memories "

Let's hope that isn't the case of a permanent deal, also let's hope Chamakh's injury doesn't end up being longer than expected or that Gayle gets injured. Doyle and Campbell don't exactly fill me with any confidence.

That is really a shame, always will be remembered, but I get that he needs to play to get his fitness levels back up, but the BIB I'm hoping won't go through just so we keep him.
