So uninteresting you replied. Irony trumped.

lol, this isn't an appreciation thread so we are allowed to give our opinions. And I'm sorry but you are being pretty delusional yourself if you are holding out for 4.0 to be very successful. Truth is that besides a few diehard fans, people just don't care about them.
They really should have called it a day after Keisha left as it split their core fanbase right down the middle and they have failed to recover from that.

What's the point in people like you still going on and on and on about it?

Even if they have only a few thousand fans left, that's still a few thousand fans. And we want them to release stuff and do stuff. Stop trying to make us feel like shit, because it's bullying.

And "people" clearly do care about them - evidenced by the hundreds of articles about Heidi this week, Jade's hugely successful modelling career, and Amelle just being Amelle. Don't make up stuff. Every single concert they performed in 2011 sold out completely. 100% tickets sold.

So don't make up rubbish and just stop being a horrible person.

Omg I've heard it all now Why are you taking criticism of the Sugababes so personal for?
If you can't handle criticism of your favourite artists you should stick to posting in their appreciation forums.

Oh please - how on earth is saying that the Sugababes are over bullying?

yes please. id happily buy their album but i'd like them to go the urban route. i think jade should help move it towards that type of music. the dance and dubstep sound is getting covered by almost everyone now.

Oh dear...A couple of posters need a (chill) pill to bring themselves back to their common sense or just to planet earth!? So because some posters think 4.0 is Sugababes 'tribute band' that make them bullies or horrible persons? Seriously? - Considering I see this line up as bad joke that has been running for way too long, I guess I'd better get my golden ticket to Popjustice forum as well then, eh?
Anyway to get back to the topic(s), I doubt there'll be a Sugababes comeback this year if at all after Heidi's declaration. She may have stated they're not splitting up but it's just weird they have nothing lined up - not even a mention of the new album - when just a few months, at the time of Freedom's release/promotion, they half-confirmed the album will be released this year...Don't think (and don't want really seeing that happen) either 1.0 will reunite. Siobhan and Keisha may have bury the hatchet but they're clearly not friends to the extent of being in the same room again and composing music gleefully! Having said that, if by a miracle they were to get back together, I'd prefer some new material from them or the other two being involved in a song for one of the girls's new material...

They are a tribute band and make their money through singing songs most of them had nothing to do with. 1.0 are back and taking those gigs away from them!

”

they havent done a proper tour since 2008

any gig they did this year was part of a festival or something. or a small club gig. it wasnt like they sold out an arena, or even an average size theatre

they were missing most of the year

Fair point, but this past year's concerts have all been part of larger festivals, where they've had top billing and full attendance.

Their last proper Sugababes concert was in May 2010, in Camden, and it was sold out. (It's the one that airs on MTV HD.)

I was browsing the Tesco Entertainment website on my mobile and saw a new Sugababes album was listed for release on 09/04/12. This is only showing up on the mobile site, do they know something we don't or do you think it's simply a case of the album not being removed from the pre-order section?

I think its definitely the latter, even though Amazon are still selling pre-orders of the album with that release date. Apparently the group are 'on a break' and Amelle and Jade are working on solo material. It sounds like the new album has been postponed indefinitely

Play.com still have the Mini Viva album listed, and they split well over a year ago. As much as I want it to be true, I think it's just an error.

The album is finished. Whether it sees the light of day is another thing. Amelles solo stuff is coming first (spring) and Heidis doing the DOI tour.

Jades learning to play the piano and continuing work on solo stuff. I think the reformation of 1.0 has seriously effected things but the album might see the light of day towards the end of thhe year if people warm to the girls individually.

Realistically though I dont see them ever releasing another album unless it's via thier official site, however I also dont believe they'll ever split up. I think they'll just continue to perform the back catalogue at corporate gigs and do the odd show for charity here and there whilst focusing on thier own stuff.

If this current break had happened 3 years ago when it was supposed to everythig would've been fine in SugaCamp. TBH though it just needs the right material - they should listen back to older albums (particularly TIMW) and go for that sound NOT dance or anything remotely 'in'.

Im so looking forward to the 1.0 reunion. The Sugababes just didny feel like The Sugababes once Keisha was thrown out. I stopped buying anytjing of theirs after Get Sexy...I was a HUGE fan until then.

Wish 1.0 all the luck in the world. Can't wait...

Shame tyhat 4.0 have called it a day. Management screwed the Sugababes. They should have got Keisha to see out Sweet 7 and ended on a high.

Sweet 7 had some good tracks but Wear my Kiss was released.

Freedom should have been released after it leaked.

We shall see what happens wwith Sugababes 1.1 when they return!

Totally agree.

The meetings had around the time Keisha left - they could've said 'Okay lets make an end plan' shot 2 more videos for the album and then done a greatest hits in 2010 or gone on hiatus until now.

They could've even just delayed the album to work out thier differences - the legacy of the band would've been amazing if they'd sucked it up for a few more months. All they needed was a year off from eachother.

They already have reformed. They're currently recording music with some sort of release planned for later this year.

Seeing as none of them had anything to do with songs from Overload, they won't be performing those songs.

All songs released from Freak Like Me to Freedom have had at least 1 member of the current line-up performing on them, so they have every right to sing those songs.

If you think they are a tribute band then you must be a tribute to a poor loser!
