Also I think some of our opinions of the loys comes from the days of the sandloys group, where it was totally dominated by a group of young girls who have displayed some appalling behaviour towards Josie and spent most of their time being nasty or trying desperately to get the attention of one of Johns friends. When John shut down the loys group, it seemed to me the worst offenders then set up the exclusive group and persuaded the loys to join, followed by John who probably doesn't give enough of a rip to notice and thus they now hold power they have no right to.....such is life!

Hello Carole. Good Idea.

However.... the lists I have don't start until March, I'm afraid they're not much use right now. Plus, I think we have lots of new members, and shy members, who aren't on the list. I know a few Jan/Feb bds so I will start a list of those and post it this weekend.

Would everyone be so kind as to post their Birthday so that I can update the lists?

THANKS!
Hi Barbara. My birthday is 19th January (won't say the year) but 21 again I wish.x

Maybe the difference with Qwerty is that he takes the mick out of BOTH of them - so it makes him a JOINT - supporter/hater whatever he is.

Like I said before I don't care what anyone does/says/tweets to either of them - LIFE is much more important to me.

I come on here to talk to FRIENDS - that is all - and to have a little fun.

Obviously - everyone's idea of fun is different - I haven't seen you have any on here at all so I don't know what your type of fun you like and can't have a banter with you because of that.

But I'm not going to be made to feel guilty from anyone for having some myself - like I said before - I LIKE QWERTY - he is my guilty pleasure - nothing I can do about it.
And I'm still confused by the fact that people support that when it causes more hate/drama for both or either John or Josie. That's not fun for me. I enjoy the positive things.

Quoted from Killing Time - couldn't get quotes to work right.
By muckers and loys do you mean the extreme elements of the differing fan bases? if so differences? for me? irony mainly, humour and how it's used, a kind of moral stance that comes through in their posts and is also shown in how they treat the weaker/less intelligent kid so to speak who doesn't always get it, point of view that's equally scathing of everyone's hypocrisies
Yes, the extreme ones. Since the breakup drama began that's how this thread has labeled them. I don't think the humor makes qwerty any better than the others. Ben could be funny in the BB house, but his humor was usually a put down of someone. It's not a good thing and I don't think qwerty's intent is just to be funny, I think it's to preach, to belittle, and to hurt the people involved, whoever he's targetting at the moment. And I'm not a fan of that.

I think it's excused more because people have less to go on so they can ascribe emotions/feelings to him that might not exist in reality. With Josie most of her emotions/feelings are out there in black and white so she comes in for more criticism as a result.
Thank you for seeing what is there, that his behavior is excused here. I'm not making it up or looking for a fight in here as people seem to think. And that does make sense to some extent. But the fact that John's hate-filled tweets and some of his actions towards Josie to purposely hurt her are obvious, he still gets a pass on these and they are romanticized for what people wish his intent is, while Josie has just given her opinion on her relationship and is criticized for it. And someone pointed out recently, she hasn't given out details. She's just stated how she felt in the relationship. John doesn't mince his words. Which is why I take what he says at face value, not creating a story that I want to believe.

Reading John's time line there is a little group of loys that are pouring poison in John's ear all the time and this shows me that they would do anything yes anything to stop John and Josie ever even becoming friends again.
Tell me how can you support someone and yet try to shape their lives.
Not true supporters in my opinion.
Why try to hurt the person you are supposed to"love".
Beats me , it really does.
This is what I'm talking about, the need to keep the drama going. Most people break up and the drama dies down fairly quickly. John and Josie still haven't had a respite from it and we're closing in on a year since he left. These people have their own agenda, and I include qwerty in that. Just because he posts sappy things occaisionally, he's still keeping the drama up which keeps the different sides going at each other, and not allowing John or Josie to move on, forget, forgive, and heal. I've said it here before, people who put their own agendas before John or Josie's aren't supporting them.

I am sure that the two groups are fine as Cheeky says, and there are perfectly nice gentle people who post on both I know ; but in the long term the whole mucker and loy term has spread to the extreme John fans call the muckers names and some fans of Josie call the John fans names. I am always seeing dm s and uckers bandied about. It is like something out of the schoolyard when in fact we are talking about grown woman with jobs careers children . So in the long run was it wise for John and Josie to foster these groups maybe making up these names has made it so much easier for people to take sides just a thought but too late now anyway.

[quote=muddyminded;55839726]I can understand you having a positive opinion because you have been included and accepted for your unique opinions, others amongst us haven't and I resent (as I'm sure John would) people excluding and holding power to exclude and judge other people when really they have no right doing that. I did used to be a member of the muckers but only because they accepted anyone (as the loys should) but Josie speaks on twitter so there didn't seem much point. I don't want to be a member of a fan community and suck up to people that hold power, who's behaviour I often abhor, just so I can be thrown a few scraps of information. So until they change their ways, many of Johns fans will be excluded and what that will mean I don't know.[/QUOTE
Good afternoon, on for a few mins to catch up, agree with most points made on this post

What's sad is they are both terms used by John and Josie that they used before BB and now while they may consider the groups their positive fans, the connotation doesn't jive with that.

Afternoon all

Just having a quick catch up in between doing some housework

I will be back later

Hey lovely I'm on both groups and can truthfully say that the people on loys and muckers are mostly lovely. I can't speak for any individuals twitters though as I don't follow most from either group.

The admins know I like both and continue to support them separately. And I think there must be others in my position on both groups. I don't get on FB very much at all so I am barely on either. When I do get to say hi everyone has been so nice to me. So I don't know what the criteria is really for a person to be accepted on either group. Every request is considered.

I don't consider myself a mucker or loy though as I am my own person.. I don't want to be labelled as anything.
I agree with you Cheeky
