So Gussie's writing poems now*
To try to take my place
It was a pretty good one
In fact it was quite ace
She got the words to rhyme quite well
As she told her little tale
I knew if I set her a challenge
She wasn't the sort to fail

She's told us all just how it is
In Oz and over here
She thinks that both parts of the J's
Are really in good cheer
Myself I like to think that both
Might sometimes shed a tear
And think of how it used to me
At the beginning of last year

I'm still just sitting on the bench
And dreaming of the day
When either I will celebrate
Or sadly walk away
I think that time is coming soon
Not sure which way it'll be
But truth be told the time is right
For the fortune teller's key

This thread survives through thick and thin
It helps in many ways
Sometimes it's what is needed*
At the end of a really bad day
To talk to folk who comfort you
Who lurk in cyber space
They are there with all their lovely words
But they do not see your face

They don't care if you're black or white
Or old or fat or thin
They don't mind if your spelling's bad
Or the commas not put in
They offer comfort love and help
To send you on your way
And make you feel there's someone there*
Who cares about your day. **

I will second that. I am trying to start my diet and you are not helping.

Also it means I am having to skip over any post that mentions food - I daren't look!

So I am missing half the thread!

THANK GOODNESS for Lyn's poem - just in the nick of time, that's all I can say
