It looks like the label wanted it as the lead single, that probably won't happen now which is good as we need something stronger for the lead single but it would make a great follow up.”

Yay new year, new thread
This was the quote from The Lava Lizard tweet.
Quote:
“@TheLavaLizard Love the new Leona track! Is this the only new music u have from her? R they preppin her for a new single?

TheLavaLizard Trini Trent
@S_Bunny123 that's all I've heard so far. She has more songs but that's the one they're considering”

I'm shocked if they're considering it for a lead single. This is not lead single material. It's amazing but I really hope they don't think this is the song that will set Glassheart.

Anyway, I'm not worrying about that because it's the word of one person who said it and that's the guy who leaked it.
I love the "I'll miss you everyday" part. So emotional !

Lol, was replying to Joaniponi & the thread was closed.
Had a great time thank you Joaniponi, did you?
I really can't stop listening to the Songbird track, it builds quick, and I think it would certainly be radio friendly. I was disappointed when it it finished because I think it was just building up to the epic bit.

I wouldn't be surprised if they really are considering it as a single. Although I love love love the song, I think it would make a better 3rd single, maybe an early summer single? I can see why they're considering it though. I've said it countless times and I'll say it again, I think this could be a commercial and radio hit. I do see a mixture of BL and BIT in it, and it could bring a lot of fans who miss her "old days" back. Whether or not it would come across that way if it was released as a lead single is up in the air, but I would definitely support it if it was

Same I posted a reply just as the old thread closed!

I basically said that I'm getting good vibes from the song. It should definitely be a single at some stage, I hope the label don't scrap the song entirely now that it has been leaked, it didn't stop them with Brave and IGY at the end of the day.

shn321 What's that website where song's are usually registered and it includes the details of vocals, production and songwriters? Has Lovebirds got an entry on that site does anyone know?

I've had a look on the site but Lovebirds does not appear yet. Not all songs seem to get on it, and it may be that there are some fees involved in getting a song registered. For instance, Bonnie Mckee has written several songs which can be looked up separately but her name is not then cross-referenced to any others that she has written.

The new thread arrived after only 24 days!!! Total posts since 2006 now over 144,000, an average of 75 a day.

Perhaps they are thinking about putting this track out and then another to launch the album. I still hope Collide doesnt make the album.

If the label are unhappy about the leak, I wonder why they haven't bothered taking down the YouTube clips?

Thanks for having a look I was wondering if Leona might have had a co-write credit perhaps but I guess we won't know for a while.

That tweet from lava lizard has me slightly worried. I love Lovebirds but I don't think it should be lead single. It feels like the BIT/BL situation with the label pushing for BIT when they had a smash hit like BL. But then again, hopefully it is just one of many they are considering, not that Lovebirds is being planned for lead.

There is a good chance that the song may not be the final version. I haven't heard the song but perhaps the mastered version will sound more single-worthy and 'full'? Remember how different the album version of Brave sounded to the leaked version, almost like 2 different songs altogether. I suppose it depends on where it leaked from, some say it sounds like it was recorded from a phone. Could have been secretly recorded in the studio itself or perhaps when they were playing songs for journalists. Am I the only one who's chosen not to listen to any leaked tracks this time? I can't believe it.

i dont quite get why so many people are against collide going on the album. it will DEFINITELY be on there .

its been a huge succress tbh - marketing for album in usa being abel to say us dance number 1!!! plus its an exciting change of direction, which was actually pretty successful! number 4 isnt bad on the bakc of one performance and limited airplay.

lastly, i think having the avicii connection is actually a GOOD thing. the scandal wasnt that big and most people know nothing of it - and at this present moment, avicii is a growing star and i think having his name on the album actually just brings more interest and credibility.

i really hope trouble is the risky worldwise smash, and lovebirds the safe BIT followup! lets just hope the label realise this and put it on the album desptie the leak. but im sure theres plenty more amazing tracks ! honestly im so excited about all these tracks weve been hearing about that get such good reactions - blank page, fireflies etc. not keen on burn at all though.... :/ thats definitely a mediocre track. but then glassheart is another solid track......so GOOD THIGNS on the horizon

Yeah, I think it's definitely been secretly recorded in the studio using a phone or something! I have a feeling it is the final version (or close to) though in terms of production but it is definitely gonna sound so much better in HQ when it sounds more 'full' like you say because her voice will sound so much clearer etc. in HQ and the production will sound better when you can distinguish the drums, piano and so on and hear everything clearly.

Well done on not listening to it! I don't have the patience to do that. I'm telling myself that when the album leaks a week or two before the release (which it will do) I won't listen to it until I get the physical CD but who knows at the time.

It is possible they may release snippets of tracks to try to gauge public reaction.

Love the song and the lyrics especially the dum dum diddy lol

But I totally get the image of some loser standing there secrectly recording it while they are playing it in studio, it starts too late , we will soon find out, leona would have let it be known if the song was going to be released or played, looking forward to what she has to say
About it , it's a shame if she didn't want anyone to hear it yet

I wanna hear 'Trouble' the most!

I'd be quite annoyed if, after all the hype a few months ago, 'Trouble' ISN'T the lead single.

Bear in mind that Emeli Sande is the winner of this year's BRITs Critic's Choice Award. Having an Emeli Sande-penned single released around the time of her award being "announced" would be a great move. Radio stations and the public would both be interested.

I want to see the faces/reactions when trouble is not on the album and we will never hear it

Exactly, it would give the track a lot of credibility having the Sande tag on it. Plus it has been reported that Leona has a credit on the track, even though it may just be for the lyrics.

I really hope that Trouble and Glassheart and all the other great songs will still make the album. I want to hear them.

I totally love Songbird, it would have been an amazing song for ECHO. Her vocals are better than ever.
Nevertheless, the song is not single material. It's a nice pop song but there is nothing great about the song itself except the catchy line in the chorus. Of chorus, the song sounds better because of Leona. The production also sounds very dated. I hope she doesn't change direction for this album because I totally love her dance stuff.

But what if Trouble didn't as good as it's been made out to be. I know there's been a lot of great things said about it but that was the case too with Collide. I think the lead single should be the best and most radio friendly track they've got, whether it's Trouble or something else. She may have recorded an even better track with Fasier T Smith after the delay.Trouble will most definitely make the album though. It'll be so interesting to hear if it was worth all the hype.

Want to hear Trouble and Blank Page. Latter cause I love the soaring ballads and have memories of weeping journalist from the Guardian

I think Glassheart is one of the best songs Leona has done.
One of the best melodies ever and there is so much drama in it. And it's very unique in its music style. I love the deep background vocals during the chorus.

Release Glassheart lol!
