If anything else leaks they only have themselves to blame for delaying it so long. Maybe this will make them put their foot down and actually start the era properly instead of all this messing about. I don't mind Leona recording more but it doesn't take months to work with one additional producer and do a few more songs.

Like the birds of a feather
We were always together
And I never will forget
All the little things you said
In that beautiful summer
Used to call me your lovebird
And all the time has gone
The wind has blown
And I have grown
And I started feeling
My wings have been broken

Bridge

And I can't believe that I would want to be set free
But I just can't stay

Chorus

So your lovebird's flying away
Your lovebird's flying away
Cos my heart's been stuck in a cage
Got to sing my song so pretty
Dum dum diddy
And I miss you everyday
But there's nothing left to say
Got to sing my song so pretty
Dum dum diddy

I want the world at my feet
Even if it's bittersweet
Wanna stand on my own and hold my heart in my own hands
So I've been gone to see that you and me are different breeds
So I gotta believe it
Gotta get back to breathing

Bridge

Chorus

And you'll always be a part of me
You made me who I am
But I gotta say I'm not afraid to assess my wingspan
Cos they say when you love something
Let it go let it go let it go
Open up the gate

Cos your lovebird's flying away

Chorus

I remember this time last year I was excited cause she told she was about to release her album, but we're a year later now ^^

album 3 is so pivotal for leona....i hope they get it right! its like the consolidation of her talent and who she is as an artist....so im not toooo fussed at it having taken ages.......but if the results dont meet expectations itll be a bit tough. but from the sounds of everything so far it genuinely does sound like a QUALITY album

Exactly, this is why I will be shocked if the release date is pushed further back if the reason is that she wants to record more.

I loved the 5 seconds of Burn we heard I couldn't tell if Clive Davies liked it though, there was a very long pause between the question and him saying he liked it.

And yeah, I imagine the lead single thing will be kind of like BL/BIT situation with label wanting something safe like LoveBirds (like BIT was) but Leona pushing for something edgy like Trouble. I say this without having heard Trouble and imagining what Leona thinks though.

burn sounds so weak from the snippet...

This may seem like an odd comparison but for any fans of The Script, they released a single called 'Nothing' and Lovebirds seems similar to that song.

I do like the tiny snippet of Burn, but the track could be terrible once we hear it in full.

Think Lovebirds and Glassheart are stronger based on what ive heard.

Btw, am i the only one who thinks glassheart (single) could be a hit worldwide? its got the Rihanna We found love vibe to it?

Definitely At least we know Glassheart will definitely be on the album so a potential single.

If Trouble is as good as people say it is, singles could go Trouble, Glassheart, and then a midtempo like Lovebirds.

March - Smash hit like Trouble (something would be perfect for radio with an edgy sound)
June - Glassheart (or equivalent song that would be big in clubs)
September - midtempo like Lovebirds
December - big ballad

And then album #4 November 2013 (optimistic I know!)

Have you go a link to Trouble reviews?

And i think Lovebirds, Glassheart and a MASSIVE BALLAD would be great ;D

Perfect schedule I think. A fierce radio hit to promote the album, an amazing uptempo for the Summer, a nice midtempo for Autumn time and a huge ballad for Christmas to be performed on X Factor.

This is from Ryan's interview with her:

Quote:
“There's a lot of buzz about a track called 'Trouble' right now. Is this going to be the track to launch the album?
"Yes, I think 'Trouble' will be the second single. I can't wait for everyone to hear it. I'm really excited about it. It's one that I really love."

It's received comparisons to Massive Attack from the few who have heard it...
"It's got an element of that in it. A bit of trip-hop, a bit of flavour - I've just never heard anything like it, which is why I was like, 'This is very cool'."”

The Guardian's article on her (a great read if you haven't seen it):

Quote:
“Most intriguingly, there’s the stunning trip-hop of Trouble (“It’s very London,”), as if Kate Bush in 1979 was transported through a pop Tardis to front Massive Attack in 1991. Her spectral vocal imploring “I’m a whole lot of trouble.”

“It’s definitely true,” she smiles. “I am a whole lot of trouble.””

The Mirror article from May 2011:

Quote:
“The star – who became an overnight household name after the release of her debut album Spirit – has co-penned a track called Trouble with *songwriter Emeli Sande, and it seems all too *evident that the song is about moving on from Lou.

The lyrics say: “You drink more than you used to, fell in love how could you?

“Trust your heart like only fools do, hold on let it bleed.

“You smoked 10 now it’s 20, bet you wish you’d never met me.

“To stick around you must be crazy, hold on let it bleed.

“I told you never to get used to me, I stay awake while you fall asleep.

“I’m a whole lot of trouble, we’re in a whole lot of trouble.

“You shout louder than you used to, and you hold on tighter in the *bedroom.””

There's a few random tweets/blogs as well saying that they heard it and it was quite good. But then a few people on popoverdose (I think?) saying that they have the song and it's rubbish.

I totally love Songbird, it would have been an amazing song for ECHO. Her vocals are better than ever.
Nevertheless, the song is not single material. It's a nice pop song but there is nothing great about the song itself except the catchy line in the chorus. Of chorus, the song sounds better because of Leona. The production also sounds very dated. I hope she doesn't change direction for this album because I totally love her dance stuff.”

this!
I really don't want them to change the direction that much... I love leona doing uptempo songs and I love how she perform those types of songs.. even if she's not the best dancer in the world i love how she move her hands and do that flirty moves! I love Lovebirds but somehow i dont think it is a song from this era... It reminds me so much to the Echo era.. I hope it is a bside or something!

I want to hear a Glassheart snippet in HQ i really love that song! And also trouble... i've loved all the emeli sandee songs that she's done so far so i know that trouble would be epic.. hopefully it will make it to the album

I think a good balance is what is needed. If we are actually going to be getting 10 tracks on this album, I would like to see:

3 uptempos: Collide, Glassheart, ???
4 midtempos: Love Birds, Trouble, Fireflies, ???
3 ballads: Blank Page, ???, ???, ???

Something for everyone then, and also the album won't be too ballad or uptempo heavy.

I think that would be the perfect balance. A couple uptempos since she wants to experiment, her usual ballad type songs, and then some mid-tempos which could be radio hits

The only problem that I have with Trouble possibly being a single is that it's described as very European sounding. Now I don't know how it actually sounds since we haven't actually heard it, but I feel like if you want something to be a lead single you need something that could smash worldwide, not just connect with one country. I could be wrong though, since we haven't heard it

Listened to Lovebirds for the second time today and like it more than I did yesterday. Still not feeling excited by it. I think it would be good as a single at the tail end of the campaign but I really hope they don't lead with it and really hope there is stronger songs on the album.

Excited that the drip of new Leona material/news is beginning again though!

Think this is a song that'll take more than 2 listens to be honest, i wasnt really feeling Bleeding Love after only a few listens, that didnt kick in for me until the video... i originally thought it was very dated!!!

... having said that, if this is the lead single, i could see people touting this as a return to form for leona... less controversy than collide and hurt... i think radio will love it... its inoffensive and wont have people jumping up and down, but maybe a pleasant, decent sized hit is what leona needs before showing off anything too different?

... if it is the lead tho, i would have thought theyd need to get it out to radio and start promoting well in advance of the album... so that something edgier can be heard near the album release, to really keep people interested in glassheart!

... its all very exciting, wasnt expecting anything like this in january!!!

Tbh, I genuinely don't believe anyone over on that website heard Trouble. I just don't think their reactions were genuine in any way!

The excitement Leona had for Trouble is like nothing I'd seen from her before - and the interest boost it would be given from having ES's association would be really quite something!

Just wonder how 'eclectic' this album is going to be if we're mixing the likes of GlassHeart, Trouble, Collide and LoveBirds already!
