This is from Ryan's interview with her:
Quote:
“There's a lot of buzz about a track called 'Trouble' right now. Is this going to be the track to launch the album?
"Yes, I think 'Trouble' will be the second single. I can't wait for everyone to hear it. I'm really excited about it. It's one that I really love."
It's received comparisons to Massive Attack from the few who have heard it...
"It's got an element of that in it. A bit of trip-hop, a bit of flavour - I've just never heard anything like it, which is why I was like, 'This is very cool'."”
The Guardian's article on her (a great read if you haven't seen it):
Quote:
“Most intriguingly, there’s the stunning trip-hop of Trouble (“It’s very London,”), as if Kate Bush in 1979 was transported through a pop Tardis to front Massive Attack in 1991. Her spectral vocal imploring “I’m a whole lot of trouble.”
“It’s definitely true,” she smiles. “I am a whole lot of trouble.””
The Mirror article from May 2011:
Quote:
“The star – who became an overnight household name after the release of her debut album Spirit – has co-penned a track called Trouble with *songwriter Emeli Sande, and it seems all too *evident that the song is about moving on from Lou.
The lyrics say: “You drink more than you used to, fell in love how could you?
“Trust your heart like only fools do, hold on let it bleed.
“You smoked 10 now it’s 20, bet you wish you’d never met me.
“To stick around you must be crazy, hold on let it bleed.
“I told you never to get used to me, I stay awake while you fall asleep.
“I’m a whole lot of trouble, we’re in a whole lot of trouble.
“You shout louder than you used to, and you hold on tighter in the *bedroom.””
There's a few random tweets/blogs as well saying that they heard it and it was quite good. But then a few people on popoverdose (I think?) saying that they have the song and it's rubbish.
