Why EE?
Having been more of a reader than a poster, I just wonder why this forum is plastered with threads connected to EE.
There are plenty of other soaps out there. I imagine I'll get a few sarcastic replies, but it does begin to get boring and repetitive. |

Currently, because there was a big episode of EE yesterday while there were no episodes of the others. At other times, it's because the EE viewers seem to like to discuss things in several threads instead of a couple of threads for EE. It also has more viewers than the rest, usually who are more ... dedicated.

I think in general EE fans are more passionate and probably more younger hence why they win at alot of award shows.

EE usually has the most viewers so it's not surprising

Well over Christmas and New Year Eastenders has had, by far, the best/most dramatic storylines imo. I think this is reflected in the amount of threads about EE at the minute.

Corrie doesn't have as many big storylines either, apart from the Becky/Steve/Tracey plot, the lesbian wedding and the rape plot all the others are small in comparison. Whereas with ee you have the stalker storyline, pats death, tanyas cancer, mandys infedlity, Kats infidelity, the B&B fire, Yusefs revenge, the custody of amy plot. There's not much discussion to be had overn who cooks the better xmas dinner, Rita or emily. |

People like to wallow in misery hence EE's sole and primary existence. Plus the planet has dumbed down to such an extent that EE just moves stereotypical cardboard cutouts around to save any attempt at originality or realism (unless people really do get shot fall in ditches and come back alive years later to be killed again).

Not a fan then?
![]() I loved it from day one right up to and past Den's Christmas divorce letter. Then it got overtaken by too many youth issues and was like watching the pamphlets at the crisis centre come to life. When a soap becomes just another vehicle to pile on disaster after disaster to outdo other soaps in ratings as opposed to being something for us to disolve into then they can shove it. |

And I'm sure you're so much more intelligent than the EE viewers when you have nothing better to do in your monday evening than talk about a soap opera you don't even like online.

I dunno, a couple weeks back during Emmerdale's judgement day Cain threads took over the forum for a couple days.

Because Eastenders viewers are generally younger and more internet savvy.
Coronation St and Emmerdale, tend to be older and not desperate to discuss every plot movement with someone on the other side of the country. |

If they were so internet savvy, they would learn how to keep all the comments about Pat's episode in one thread

I do wonder why so many threads about the same subject need to exist.
One for every episode would be good and maybe certain storylines warrant a thread. But seriously there are many, many threads discussing things that have just been said somewhere else. I often find myself reading the same thing over and over again, and to be honest, when I reply to something, I end up repeating myself as well
