I cant believe the reaction of some posters, if some offers you a job with a lot more money most people would say when do I start not I am staying where I am as I want to be loyal.

I will enjoy watching SCD more now without AD being a judge.I used to mute her when she spoke.

Interesting double standards here. Christine B is not popular with the public (we all agree because of the acres of press coverage). Alesha generates the same level of distaste but on a much more high profile show and yet her supporters claim than only a 'noisy minority' dislike her. How on earth do you work that out?

Christine made the mistake of getting herself linked professionally with Gumboot Jaw Adrian Chiles, who was worse at presenting the Beijing Olympics than even the Armenian TV crew, apparently (or similar country).

Alesha's on her own, has other media irons in the fire and can walk off the Cowell show if she felt like it. But for the BGTcontestants her Herts twang will be so much easier to understand than Cheryl Cole's twisted vowels for the X-Factor wannabees.

Daily Fail

350k for her and 800k for Walliams if true is a substantial amount.

I'm glad she's going, never liked her as a judge. Good riddance

I honestly don't know why anyone would pay him a penny... I find him one of the most tiresome bores on TV.

I liked Alesha as she added glamour to the show but this lacks gratitude on her part.

What that she moved to the rivals? It has said she wants to use the show to promote her album.

Indeed they were foolish not to sign her up for multiple years and they really can't expect to get top people at lower than the market rate -government cuts agenda or not.

Alesha's also at an age and in an industry when you have to start wondering how many years more you will be able to get equivalent jobs and how many years you may be off work if you want a family. A few years on Simon Cowell's wages, even after tax, is far more likely to get you enough in your investment account than working at BBC rates.

How greedy is she?

I agree. Everything about David Walliams is irritating, including his name.

I can't see it as back-stabbing, just a career move. Whether it's a good one or not is moot (my Dross-filter doesn't let me watch XF, so can't really comment on that) but it's just a choice on her part. I wonder if she could entice Bruno away with her? His lewd and lascivious behaviour on the show makes me heave!

Just noticed it's BGT, not XF. The comment still applies.

Someone on BBC News saying what a loss she is to the BBC ( !) and that the money must have been a 'luh' - I assume she meant 'lure' but "Not many people turn down an offer to work with Simon Cowell". Really? I have him down as a nbhead but hey.....

I hope she knows what she is doing. Kelly Brook got unceremoniously dumped from BGT as it didn't work with four judges. Sky were saying that Simon is back on the panel, so that means they are back to four judges again, so unless she is there to understudy the pregnant Amanda Holden or they are changing the format I can see there being problems!

I doubt the will ditch her. He will give her a series at least. No way would she have quit SCD, for a short stint on BGT. He deffo must have promised her things such as helping her music etc...

Maybe Cowell promised her Kelly's job on XF, if she does really well on BGT. Amazing though that she could have been on SCD, BGT and then eventually the XFactor judge.

OH PLEASE. Getting in with Simon Cowell is a great career move. Look what he's done for the careers of people like Danni Minogue and Cheryl Cole. If she gets in with the right crowd she can make herself become relevant again. In theory.

What exactly does helping her music mean? I thought she was average like a lot of people, with above average looks and quite a raunchy personality. But she's 33 now, the world is full of popstars of mediocre talent and she has had masses of exposure through SCD. What more could Cowell do and why would he?

But Dannii, and Cheryl were on the XF which is a different show altogether. Much more exposure on the XFactor and deffo taken more seriously than BGT.

BGT is different imo. It hasn't really helped Amanda Holden that much?

I guess people are thinking about how he made Cheryl Cole relevant, and Dannii as well.

The problem i see is BGT isn't as strong as the XFactor. People watch it for laughs, so i fail to see how that will help her musically.

But he ditched them in the end.

Cheryl Cole was on the XF (different show) and was left a laughing stock even if she made a lot of money and released an album. Now she is known as the one who couldn't cut it on the US.

Dannii was well liked but what has happened to her musically?

I don't think it's about being on the show, IMO it's about her getting in with the right crowd and thus giving her the avenues to use the SyCo shows as a way to boost her profile and singing career. She can perform on BGT then X Factor and appear on all of the other shows so it's about opening up career choices rather than being on the show.
