Vincent and Flavia discussing Alesha on Breakfast
Vincent and Flava will be giving their opinions about Alesha on Breakfast soon, Tues am (and also talking about their tour).
One expert (I missed her name) has already been giving her views about Alesha's replacement. She was saying that a favourite to replace Alesha on SCD is Nicole Scherzinger. Because Scherzinger is a former winner of the US series, and 'would bring some glamour to the show'. Nicole Scherzinger also has an interesting 'history' with Simon Cowell. |

That was disappointing. I don't think they wanted to say that much. The only serious name mentioned was Arlene.

Arlene won't be coming back. Those bridges have been burnt.

The reason is obvious, but it's still a shame that they didn't give their opinion on who they want to replace Alesha.

They should have been more forthright and found themselves not invited back next year. The BBC can't stand criticism from their employees. Plenty of other dancers out there. Previous departures occasionally get mentioned on here, but the vast majority of viewers will have forgotten about them. |

I'd like to see Nicole get the gig. As to why Vincent and Flavia didn't say who they'd want to replace her, why would they? It isn't their decision and they could throw a name out there who is neither interested in doing it or who the BBC have no interest in speaking to.

I'm not sure whether it has always been like that or if it's a recent development, but it has certainly decreased my appreciation of the BBC. It used to be my favourite channel (ok, channels) by far, but I've heard so much bad stuff about it by now. Then again just giving their opinion wouldn't be crisicism... or would the BBC still take it as such?

I suppose if Nicole did get the job it would save Lewis Hamilton a few bob not having to chase her across the Atlantic anymore with there on off, on off, off on relationship!
It could be unfair of me to say she does seem to have a bit of an effect; Lewis has never been quite the same after he hooked up with her, including falling out with his dad etc and look at the trouble with X-factor USA.. Stirctly could fall apart! |

How insulting to Karen Hardy - she is better looking and far more intelligent than Hamilton's squeeze

I wouldn't take Nicole seriously if I was a contestant- I'd be more interested in Craig's comments than a two bit pop star who is better known for breaking up with and getting back with Lewis Hamilton
Karen and Camilla Dallerup are both stunning to look at and most importantly know their stuff and there qualified to comment rather than a popsie |

I think she's a bit weasel like actually and rather boring. And certainly not the sort of start calibre that the Beeb are going to be looking for now. Of course, they have somewhat pasted themselves into a corner going on about how great Alesha is over the past three years - what a fab singer, star, etc. Now they have to find someone with a higher profile and I'm afraid that absolutely is not Camilla Dallerup. |

It could be that Vince & Flav couldn't give an answer as to who will replace Alesha is they simply don't know.
By all accounts Alesha only 'gave notice' at Christmas, so I doubt the BBC has made any decisions yet, and even if they had it is unlikely they would have told V&F, who were really on Breakfast tv to promote their own show. Of those names mentioned : I like Nicole S as a singer (though not all her songs) and she a fab dancer, but a judge on scd? Absolutely NOT. Karen Hardy - she's far too full of her own importance, and her voice is so irritating. Camilla - she's moved away from dancing, and making a career in other things. Who knows, perhaps they will choose another ex-celeb contestant, there's probably plenty who are not that busy...... Ann Widecombe; Eggwina Curry; Estha Ranzen...... ![]() ![]()

That was rather unkind and uncalled for. Camilla has just finished a tour of Calandar Girls - and from what I heard she was great in it

And Mark will be on tour dancing with Natalie Lowe- and I bet Camilla has been schoolling him in the two dances CRH has chosen for him and Natalie.
Natalie is getting a vastly improved celeb partner |
