I would like to know if anyone has the live Rail aps?

I know you can view on website on phone but I like apps.

I don't want to get the £4.99 UK Train one but was wondering if anyone used

Rail Commute(£1.99) or Live UK Train Departures
By Anecdote Software (£2.49)

pay the £4.99 for that one.
it's live and lets you track where the train is, and updates on arrival and departure times.

I know you said you did not want the £4:99 app, but it is great, it does the job and works.

You could try the free Scotrail app. It's decent and has similarities to the others. It does show live running info for all UK stations.

My sister has a app for her IPhone that gives her the Scotrail train times. Like posted above.

£4.99 app is the best by far, you get what you pay for....

Would not be paying that much for an app that you may only use now and again.

£4.99 seems a hell of a lot for an app, that gives you live train times. Had a look on the android and they are a bit cheaper. They range from free to £3.49. Which is still quite a lot for what it is. They do have one for £2.99 with live times, and plots the progress of a train. Still quite a bit. Some of the apps have widgets, which would be a must.

Then I guess if you travel by train everyday, the £5 would make it worth while.
