Another gem was during the vt for their AS... "I've got to lift her with one arm & she's about 50 kilograms...". Katya screams in background "Don't say my weight on national tv!".

Thank you for this - it's got me watching all of Gavin's other training videos as well. His Jive was pretty funny too.

best Gavbot comment of all times was on ITT when Katya was saying how worried she was about a dance when he turned to her and said the epicmazing

That's what I missed about the proper training vt's. We didn't get to find out if any of the couples had this kind of relationship in the training room. DAMN YOU COMEDY VT'S!!

I loved the way he said Kat-i-ya in his lovely welsh accent.

The mirror on the back of the paddle is an inspired idea....I remember so fondly the ITT section where pros and celebs were asked what they were scared of......oh there were spiders and mice and all sorts of sensible things with lots of reasons why......dear Gavin two words 'going bald'


As well as becoming the best judge in the world ever I really really wish he was dancing with Katya on tour that would have made it so much more fun.

Awww, this just has to happen then I could just stare at his ickle face as he stares in bewilderment at Bruno.

He would be the genius anti-judge. "That's not 'ard, lifting Katya in a hat with one arm wearing glittery rugby shorts, now that's 'ard, so shut up with your complaining" and giving a 10 to whoever dances with Katya for putting up with her.

But then he'd never say that much in one go.

Just think how he could sympathise with all the people who think they'll be good at tango or PD.

Seeing as Alesha was meant to be the judge that could empathise with the celebs as she had been there, done that. He could be the judge that empathises with the crapper contestants, as he'd been there and done that. And that's coming from someone who loved Gavin's ickle face.
He'd be totally amazing, he'd judge using his eyebrows and scowls. We need a butch judge far more than a female judge imo.

The BBC may not be prepared to do the whole series from Blackpool

I couldn't stand Gavin when he was on the show, but reading all these bits I obviously missed, I think we need him back. He sounds a riot and I may have misjudged him.

Oh you definately did......There is a whole thread somewhere from series 7 with all his pearls of wisdom that his fans loved. Very very dry wit and fantastic relationship with Katya. Shame he wasnt a dancer aswell.

oh and how could we forget any time he wanted Bruno to shut up he could just plant a big smacker on his lips

The Mail have reported that Miranda Hart is a left-field choice for a judge, but she's far too obvious and in-your-face to be a judge.

We need Gavin, he is dry, witty and funny without even trying to be.

If they want a left-field choice, Gavin is the obvious choice!

Shuddupfluffy with penetrating insight has of course tumbled the real reason why Alesha was hired as judge.
