Must have missed something. Naomi has a huge house - she has moved her sorority sisters (only 5 - it would have been closed down well before..) in her house. So where were the other girls going through her stuff - or was it Annie's stuff at the bitchy sorority house? Secondly, why was pledge season 1 day and since when does a freshman move into the sorority house within a week or so and even without paying dues? No mention of the fact she would also be paying rent to live there....so i guess she's not so broke.
Another thing (and believe it or not, i love the show). We have Naveed (Pakistani?) who has a family and connections involved in porn and now stolen cars. The one black guy is a wanna be DJ.... The visiting Turk uses escorts, the Indian guy is dying and there is not a hispanic (in southern california???) in sight. Also, only the white kids are going to college.... hmmmm... just commenting - not upset by it - more amused..)

Navid is Persian not Pakistani. People from all sorts of countries can do bad things. Dixon wants to be a musician, not just a DJ and the character has been music related throughout his time in the show. Its very much consistent with his character not to be at college, not racist. Also, as for "the indian guy is dying", I think I read somewhere that Raj only became an Indian character after the actor was cast. Though I could be wrong on that one. Then after this, I cant see any real point in the rest of your comment. For someone who says they love the show, you refer to characters as the black guy, the indian guy.. The Navid part I can kinda get, although he refers to himself as persian quite often. Just a bit strange..

Just saying the kids are all stereotyped in broad strokes (but then so are the Glee kids). Typical US teen dramas. Haven't changed in eons. Although we didn't really have teen dramas when I was a teen.

Yeah I didnt intend on that sounding so serious, sorry I have this defence mechanism for the show, I've spent 4 years arguing with friends who have never watched it that its not crap so it comes automatically

The Turkish man and his friends hired Annie's roommate (and by association) Annie as escorts in last nights episode. Her stereotpye is the midwest girl thrown into sophisticated California. Naive to the highest degree!

I love the show too. I loved the original - which was considered a bit tame as far as teen drams go but couldn't go any further as stuff is censored more in the US. I did add a sentence to the comment above.

I'm watching US pace and did you also notice that in one scene Annies hair was cut short and the next it was back to being long. Rookie error!

I've never been the biggest fan of 90210 or followed it week by week, but thought I'd give this season a go when I saw it on 4od and so far I love it. Feeling slight creeped out by the relationship between Annie and this older man in the latest episode to show on tv though!

What kind of poker were they playing last night? I am not an expert or anything but if they were playing 5 card (popular) then I don't see how if Liam had a full boat (full house) then the other guy had a straight flush. For a start the flop wouldn't all be suited - so that removes the flush...

What they don't know is that she has had a lot to put up with, done a few crazy things but then again no one is perfect. I actually like her and I hope if it is renewed that her and Liam court aka Matt Lanter get back together and find happiness. FYI I have done a shenae grimes appreciation thread as well.

Well why is it her name is at the top of the programme when rob Estes left?

A couple of things annoying me this season:

Naomi's constant challenge of 'losing' her clothes EVERY week. Seriously, is there any need?

Liam's abs. Don't get me wrong, Liam is gorgeous but he really doesn't have that much of a body, at least compared to someone like Austin. It makes me laugh everytime someone admires his six pack!

All in all, I think S4 has been the weakest so far. That said, I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Have to say I was going to give up on 90210, had it not been for Naomi this season. I really like her character, totally not my kind of person, but funny.

Its a show that annoys me greatly, but for some reason I keep watching.

I just don't get why they dropped Teddy. Oh, hang on yes I do. Mainstream show has a character come out, then once that storyline is resolved they do nothing with him. Last season when he finally found a nice boyfriend they disappeared for weeks then next we hear they have had 5 dates. Then the producers decide they have nothing more they can do with him, but still have a him as a guest star in season 4, with a subplot that deserves to be a main plot?

Yet they keep Annie and Dixon, possibly the two most boring characters on TV. I'm actually considering speeding through their bits. I'd have them go visit their mother and never come back. Not to mention the borefest that is Ivy. In what universe would she ever be friends with Naomi? For that fact Silver lost all integrity after season one when she was suddenly best friends with Naomi at the beginning of season two.

A show with so many anomalies. Roll on next Tuesday!

The episode when everything was going wrong for her - leading her to accept another escorting job - she was extremely whiny and annoying. It was actually irritating to the point of fast forwarding.

After all I bet you in Degrassi she was outstanding and she had a nommo for this two years ago for being the best scene stealer. After all she is a fan of the show when it was beverley hills 90210, so in that turn been pretty loyal to it.

I wouldn't dispute that a lot of people might like them. It doesn't change the fact I personally find them boring. A lot of that is down to, as you say, the show not using them to their best potential. As I said in another post, I think one problem for Annie for me, was in seasons 2 and 3 where her character seemed distanced from the rest of the gang. Her stories didn't connect with others, and she seemed a bit out of things. As for Dixon, if they gave him something interesting to do perhaps I'd find him more interesting. His story this season just seems to be rehash of Adrianna's story so far (drug addiction, wannabe musician) and it was dull enough first time round.

Its interesting that Annie and Dixon were kind of the main characters when it started (the new Brandon and Brenda) yet I think have suffered from the most boring stories. And for me, Brandon and Brenda suffered from the same dullness.

does dixon ever NOT have problems? gambling? crazy birth mother bunny boiler older woman with 16 year old (yes that was a bit of a stretch) and now drugs.

Also...didn't dixon and Annie have caring parents 2 years ago? and what happened to rich granny? And that loving mom who would do anything for them has just deserted them at 18? hmmmmm Where is all Naomi's money coming from? If i remember correctly, her trust fund wasn't THAT big and at one point she was worried about it. Her sister ran through hers in a a year or so. There are so many holes now that as much as I like the show, it's beginning to spiral a bit out of control. Did all the writers change and forget about continuity?

I thought Namoi was the only shinning light of series 3 ,she really grew up and changed and yet I get the feeling her character will soon be destroyed the way all the others on the show have been .

I was thinking maybe Raj actually got bad news, but told Ivy it was good news so they could live his last few weeks/months happy/care free etc, since Ivy worries so much about him. I wouldn't be surprised his he dies when Ivy goes on her trip to New Guinea with the photography teacher?!

I think that what makes Annie aka Shenae Grimes quite irritating is she has no official romance for her at the moment. The people who to blame are the bosses who have a couldn't care less attitude who are being a wedge between Liam aka Matt Lanter. These production members are just trying to stir things up by thinking they are a bad combo and personally I think the execs should quit as they are destroying people on it. AnnaLynne McCord aka Naomi has infact disappointed me this season and really been bought back a peg or two by the cynical showrunners. Something is telling me AnnaLynne may consider leaving by the out of line bosses way of dealing with her carachter. Hope not.
