Recorder with one feed?
I'm thinking of getting a freesat recorder but only have one cable from the dish. Would I still be able to record programmes with only one cable connected? I guess I wouldn't be able to record one and watch another channel but that doesn't really bother me.

If you buy a Foxsat-hdr you can record two and even watch a third with some restrictions.(You have to connect tuner 1 out to tuner 2 in).

Have a look through the instruction manual.

You could replace the existing downlead with shotgun cable which has a twin core for two feeds but is no thicker and will fit wherever the exisitng cable does. You may need to change the LNB on the satellite dish to a quad if it is a fairly old installation.

Can you connect an external HDD to the humax foxsat hd box to record like you can on their freeview hd box?
