The ratings have fallen massively. I suppose it's inevitable given how long it's been running.
People are always moaning that it's gone too far from its roots, II, returning players etc. Then when you get a season that IS gimmick free ( I like the II played as they were originally intended) everyone says it's boring.

If One World had been No 11 or 12 not 24 I think it would have been much more well received. It was definitely one for the die-hard fans. It's right up there for me.Top 5 at the moment.

Hey guys not spamming but I kind of want to let you know of something I am involved in in the Surv!vor World that some of you may be interested in.

I am the co-host of an ORG (Online Reality Game) that is based on Survivor on another forum. This is one of the most popular ORG's about and it is on its 21st game. It works just like Survivor, you play Immunity Challenges and vote off each other Tribal Council. Basically we are looking for some new blood to come along and play, see if you can be the next Parvati, Rob or Kim.

It is based on One World so you can play as any of the 18 people who played last season. Trust me would be a blast and is an awesome way to try and experience what it is like to play a game of Survivor. You will love it.

Troyzan and Jane were apparently dropped. Jane was dropped for Dawn Meehan. It is unknown at this point who Troyzan was dropped for but word is that it could be a S25 male. Troyzan did state on Twitter that he isn't on next season, yet he somehow claims to know that is isn't quite an All Star season. Hmm.

Mind, it's so nice there have been very few spoilers since MouthAlmighty Hantz was leaking like a sieve. Incidentally I must check and see if his house flipping series has bombed in the US ratings. I listened to a load of spiel about it on "Rob has a Podcast". His brother sounds equally repulsive. Guess Brandon didn't stand a chance.)

Hmm. I agree this cast is weird but I would prefer Jane over Dawn. At least Jane was tough and a beast in the challenges, I can remember her owning everyone in that weight lifting immunity challenge. She had a sense of entitlement which was annoying but at the same time I found her likeable most of the time. Dawn was just simpering, sickly-sweet and boring. From the others listed I would be pleased about seeing Corinne, Brenda, Cochrane (but not if he turns into another camera hog), Erik and Andrea sort of. Though most of those would probably get ignored in the edit in favour of Brandon and Philip.

Any idea what the theme would be for this new season? It's hardly a stellar cast. Like someone else said, I'm happy to see Brenda and Andrea again, but that's about it...

Also, which Erik is tipped to be out there? "I give my idol to Natalie" Erik? I guess if it was him, it could be some kind of second FvF where he returns as a favourite? Or maybe players who made fatal mistakes?

And although it would be interesting to see him back, he certainly can't be relied upon to be one of the main draws.
I really expected to like him watching Fans vs Faves for the first time, but there really isn't anything interesting about him whatsoever. Plus, it was off-putting how in-love with Ozzy he was.
Then again, this is coming from someone who was a Jason fan but at least he had something about him - he admired Ozzy but in a competitive way because he really wanted to whup his arse, and the way he balanced out cockiness with naivety was quite amusing.
Erik was just a little puppy-dog with no backbone, and had no real character about him. Basically an empty vessel.

My wish for a returning season would be either an All Winners or a First Booted one. In the All Winners one, I'd waive my dislike of seeing the same players for the umpteenth time under the logic that I'm a hypocrite.

So a 5th appearance from Boston Rob would be absolutely fine and Colby, Coach, Russell and Rupert wouldn't be eligible!

I totally forgot about Dawn in that other weight lifting challenge. I agree that she seemed a nice enough person but at the same time she was friends with that horrible Keith / Ozzy / Whitney / Jim group and condoned all their actions which made me doubt a little if she was really as nice as she portrayed herself to be.

They'll wait until Hatch's visa is clear before doing All-Winners, but it's definately coming. Personally I'm thinking it's the gimmick for either S30 or the last ever season.

I would love an all winner seasons. Must suck to be one of the winners not asked back though. They have 13 male winners and 10 female winners now so there's enough people to do it.

I haven't heard about it (doesn't mean its not true). I would be very shocked if it is though, they were practically invisible even when on the show so it seems like an odd choice of person to be brought back.

O/T but fab, I just had to say I watched 3 episodes of Russell's show "Flipped Off"

So, just like Rupert, fame has gone to his head and he's divorced ( not that that has happened to Rupert, but the thought of being married to him is too yucky to contemplate).

But the actual show was hysterical. They were like a comedy double act. Dont think they'll be another series though as the ratings are dreadful. In terms of common sense, brother seems to have been lacking when they handed that attribute out. While Russell is still pig headed and thinks he knows more than he does. I'll eat my hat if he's a millionaire. In his head maybe.

I think Brett was actually the contestant most shafted by the Russell love-in. He had the potential to be a real fan favourite with all those immunity wins, but instead they made him into a complete non-entity.

Samoa gets my vote as the worst edited Survivor ever. It was so all about Russell. Unfortunately so were 2 others, I cant believe the little troll was in 3 seasons out of 4. It's a miracle Survivor's still going.

Well I liked him, I blame the editing, they focused too much on Russell. I mean the first 10 episodes he was not featured at all, and then suddenly he became the biggest threat in the game, but people had no idea who he was.

I liked Brett a lot too, he was very likeable. I agree that the season was terribly edited. Basically the whole of Galu were casting gold but were ignored (except Shambo) in favour of the much duller Foa Foa.

I felt Kat was a deserved winner. i think if she got to the final tribal council she could have won. didn't like colton at all. i hope the rumours that hes entering philipines are just that! didn't like kim either, never the less a deserved winner.

Boston rob was the best player. Literally narrating to the camera each week his plan of attack and executing near perfect week by week! making people stay in pairs even to the toilet! complete control.....fantastic!
