I set my Freesat box to record Public Enemies on BBC One at 9pm last night (Wednesday). Got home from work a bit early, 8.50pm, and noticed the recording had already started when Countryfile was still on.

I stopped the recording and tried to reset it but it was acting as if the program had started.
Any way over to the freeview box to record instead and that told me the program had already started..

Strange..

Mine did the same, it recorded the end OK though. Small problem at the Beeb possibly because episode 1 was transmitted a day later than it should have been. The scheduled Tuesday showing of ep 1 on BBC1-HD at least wasn't shown.

Yes I was confused by Tuesday's missing episode too not realising until later that it had been rescheduled because of a special edition of Panorama - I had a 'failed recording' message. Wednesday's recording started 8 minutes early but completed on time on my Humax.

Didn't get Friday's 3rd and final episode - what went wrong? Was the series link not adjusted when Tuesday's episode was re-scheduled? At least I can watch it on iPlayer. Anyone else have the same problem?

Recorded OK on my Foxsat-hdr. Watched it in chasing playback as it recorded.

I deleted Fridays episode and re-entered it because Friday morning it was still showing Thursday’s time and date as if it was the last in the series on Thursday.

The HDR was still showing Hustle at 9.00pm Friday so I deleted and re-entered that as well.

All seems to be OK now.

You just can’t trust the BBC nowadays.

You must have missed the warnings about this that I and others posted on Tuesday. Always a good idea to double check the EPG / timer list again whenever they do something like this.

Ah, that must be why mine failed to record the last 8 mins of Countryfile
